보육 교사의 근무기관, 학력, 경력에 따른 자기 장학 수행에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 보육의 질을 결정하는데 중요한 역할을 하는 보육 교사가 자기 장학을 어떻게 실행하고 있는지 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 근무기관과 학력 및 경력 등 다양한 개인적 배경을 가진 보육 교사 210명을 대상으로 하여 자기 장학 수행 실태에 대해 설문조사를 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 보육 교사의 자기 장학 수행 총점을 백점 만점으로 환산하면 47.8점으로 낮은 편이었다. 둘째, 보육 교사의 근무기관 유형에 따른 자기 장학 수행은 국공립 및 직장과 민간 어린이집교사의 자기 장학 수행이 가정 어린이집 교사보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육 교사의 학력에 따른 자기 장학 수행은 대학원 재학 이상의 학력을 가진 교사가 4년제 대졸 학력의 보육 교사와 보육 교사 양성과정을 이수한 교사와 전문대 졸업 학력의 교사 보다 자기 장학 수행이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 보육 교사의 경력에 따른 자기 장학 수행은 5∼7년과 7년 이상의 경력이 있는 교사의 자기 장학 수행이 경력 1년 미만의 어린이집 교사보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 보육 교사가 근무하는 기관의 유형, 학력, 경력에 따라 자기 장학 수행 점수에 모두 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 보육 교사의 근무 기관 유형, 학력과 경력에 따라 자기 장학이 어떻게 이루어지는지 그 실태를 파악함으로써, 교사의 특성에 적합한 자기 장학의 활성화를 위한 지원체계를 구성하는데 참고가 되는 기초 자료를 제시하였다는데 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate self-supervision of childcare teachers who plays important role in determining quality of childcare, at this time of increasing number of childcare facilities and growing emphasis on importance of childcare. For this, a survey on self-supervision was performed on 210 childcare teachers with diverse personal background of types of institutes, academic background, and career. The result is as follows: Firstly, the total grade of the daycare center teachers on the implementation of their self-supervision is found to be somewhat low, at 47.8 on a scale of one hundred points. Secondly, per the type of the childcare institutes the teachers are working for, the grades of the teachers of the public, workplace and private childcare centers are found to be higher than those of the teachers of the household childcare centers. Thirdly, per the academic background of the teachers, the grades of the teachers with the academic background of a graduate school or higher, or with the background of the graduation of a four-year-course college are found to be higher than those of the teachers who completed a childcare teacher training course or who graduated a junior college. Fourthly, per the career of the teachers, the grades of the teachers with the career of five to seven years, or seven years or longer, are higher than those of the teachers with the career of less than one year. Thus you see that there are differences in the grades of the teachers on the implementation of their self-supervision in the types of the institutes they are working for and their academic background and career. So this study has a meaning in that it gives the real condition of the childcare teachers’implementation of the self-supervision in the types of the institutes they are working for and their academic backgrounds and career, and that it provided baseline data for the formation of a support system to properly activate their self-supervision in learning.
