국문 초록

본 연구는 기존의 STEAM 수업에서 미술 교과가 본래의 교육과정 속 교육적 목표보다 낮은 수준의 목표 설정에 머물거나, STEAM 지도의 수단이나 방법으로써 이용 또는 적용되는 것을 극복하기 위하여, 미술 교과 중심의 STEAM 수업을 통하여 관찰표현을 효과적인 지도 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 4학년 미술 수업의 관찰표현을 중심으로 과학 수업의 식물 관찰, 수학 수업의 각도 측정과 이해라는 해당 교과 내용 중 공통된 주제와 소재를 접목하였다. 이와 같은 STEAM 수업을 통하여 관찰표현에서 도달하고자 하는 본래의 교과 목표에 효과적으로 도달하였으며 과학과 수학 교과에서 도달하고자 하는 학습 목표와 내용을 모두 충족하여 수업시수의 절감효과도 확인할 수 있었다. 사후 설문조사와 인터뷰 및 후기 글에서 학생들은 관찰표현에 대하여 긍정적인 마인드와 실제 학생생활에서 적극적으로 적용해 보고자 하는 적극적 수용태도도 관찰되었다. 그리고 사후 마인드맵을 통하여 학생들이 관찰표현을 미술교과만의 고유한 영역이 아니라 다양한 방면에서 다각적으로 인지하게 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This research is looking for ways to effectively teach observation and expression through Art Education and the STEAM curriculum to students. In doing this, educational goals need to be set for the courses in Art Education so that achievement could be made. For this reason, we incorporated a common theme for the course in the regular curriculum in the elementary school, focusing on observation and expression of 4th grade Art Education. It is a fusion of material which maintains a common theme. Here are the themes: observation and expression in art class, observing and understanding plants in science class, and understanding measurements and angles in math class at the 4th grade level. So we effectively reached the goals that we originally had in the category of observation and expression and fulfilled and reached all the expected learning objectives in science and mathematics through STEAM lessons and Saving Effects in classes. On the post-survey interviews and reviews, we also observed the attitude to accommodate to the student's life and a positive mind about observation-expression actively. And it was confirmed the students would be recognized that Art is not unique yet various aspects of observation and expression are multifaceted and able to be perceived by mind mapping.
