국문 초록

전쟁으로 인한 문헌자료 소실과 선행연구의 부족에도 불구하고, 한국전쟁기(1950-1953)의 미술과 교육에 대해 연구한다는 것은 한국미술교육의 역사를 쓰는 과정에서 중요한 의의를 가진다. 본 연구는 냉전 이데올로기 전쟁으로서 한국전쟁을 시각이미지에 재현된 양상과 미술교육과 연관성 속에서 고찰하여, 한국미술교육의 연구에 기초를 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 참혹한 전쟁의 상황 속에서 우리민족이 가지고 있던 남다른 교육열은 피난학교와 노천수업으로 이어졌으며, 물자의 부족과 곤궁한 삶이 교육을 포기하지 못하게 하였다. 이 연구는 전시기간동안 우리민족이 생존해야 하는 절대절명(絶對絶命)의 역사적 상황 속에서 미술교육이 어떠한 양상으로 진행되었는지를 다음과 같이 논의하고자 한다. 첫째, 남북한 분단 정권의 수립이후 발발한 한국전쟁 기간 동안 남북한이 서로 체제우위와 도덕적 정당성을 선전하고 적군의 부도덕성과 침략성을 폭로하기 위해 사용한 시각이미지들에 재현된 이데올로기 전쟁으로서 성격을 밝힌다. 둘째, 피난학교의 운영과 교육시설을 통해서 한국전쟁기 교육의 참혹한 양상들을 조명한다. 셋째, 아카이브에서 발굴한 1차적 자료를 토대로 하여 한국전쟁기의 미술교육과정과 교과서를 구체적으로 논의한다. 결론적으로 본 논문은 한국전쟁기의 미술교육이 전시하 교육체제로 전환되었음을 도의(道義)교육, 1인(人) 1기(技)교육, 국방교육의 차원에서 진행되었음을 밝힌다.

영문 초록

Doing research on the art and education during the Korean War (1950-1953) has significant meaning in writing the history of art education despite the certain difficulties due to the loss of literature materials and lack of advanced research as the result of the war. This study aims to provide foundation for the study of art education of the period which lacks enough research in academic world by considering the nature of the Korean War with the aspects illustrated in visual images and art education. The extraordinary passion for education of our people even during the horrible situation under the war naturally led to schools of refuge and open-air classes. Even the difficulties in their lives such as the lack of supplies and poverty never succeeded in making people give up on education. This study discusses the art education during the Korean War which was the inevitable historical moment when survival was the only hope for our people. First, this paper aims to explore the nature of the Korean War as ideological war since it occurred after the establishment of separate governments in the Korean Peninsula through different visual images which were used to propagate the superiority of one's system and moral justification, and to disclose the immorality and cruelty of each other. Second, this study plans to explore the status of education during the Korean War through the horrible aspects which was brought by the war from different perspectives such as operation of schools of refuge, school institutions, and textbooks. Third, this paper aims to discuss the curriculum and textbooks based on the primary sources in order to examine the art and education during the Korean War. In conclusion, this research argues that the art education during the Korean War was changed into the curriculum under the war through proving that it was proceeded in relation to morality education, promoting the idea of 'one skill for one person', and education for national security.
