국문 초록

황지우의 시 세계는 1980년대 이래 우리 시사에서 전위의 한 극점을 보여 주었다. 그는 "대답 없는 날들"(「대답 없는 날들을 위하여」)속에서 "말할 수 없음으로 양식을 파괴하고", "파괴를 양식화"하는 창작 방법론을 시도하였다. 이것은 형식의 해방 속에서 사회의 해방이 가능하다는 해체적 응전의 미학적 인식을 체현해 보인 것으로 파악된다. 그의 이러한 "시 보다 시적인 것"을 추구하는 해체적 양식론이 궁극적으로 추구하는 것은 존재론적 근원의 부드러움과 평정의 세계이다. 그의 시 세계에서 부정적인 현실 인식과 존재론적 근원에 대한 갈망은 내적 긴장의 두 축이면서 동시에 상호 보완적인 기능을 수행한다. 존재론적 근원에 대한 갈망이 부정적 현실 인식을 심화시키고 부정적 현실인식이 존재론적 근원에 대한 갈망을 확장한다. 그리고 더 나아가 부정적 현실 인식이 절대 부정의 맹목에 그치지 않고 안으로부터 감싸 안는 형이상의 초극의 세계를 창출하도록 인도한다. 그의 시 세계에서 초기부터 내재되어 있는 고요와 평정의 심상이 점차 화엄적 인식론으로 확장되는 양상이 이를 선명하게 보여준다. 특히 그의 시 세계에서 화엄(華嚴)적 형이상의 지향은 수직적 초월이 아니라 현실적 삶 속에서 도저한 자기 성찰과 주체적인 극복의 과정을 통해 전개되는 양상을 보인다. 그래서 그의 시 세계에서 화엄적 초월은 성속일여의 양상을 보인다. 이러한 화엄적 상상은 황지우의 시 세계에서 지속적으로 비속한 현실은 물론 자기 성찰의 계기이며 지향점으로 작용한다.

영문 초록

Hwang Ji Woo, his poetic world shows us the summit of the avant-garde since 1980's. He destroyed the pattern because they could not speak in "for the days without answers" and tried the creation methodology which stylizes destruction. It seems that he embodied aesthetic realization of disaggregate response which the liberation of formality make it possible the liberation of society. His disaggregate pattern which seeks "the more poetical things than poem" eventually seeks the mildness for ontological origin and the world for peace. In his poetic world, the awareness of negative reality and the desire for ontological origin is not only the two aspects for internal tensions but also completes complementary functions. The desire for ontological origin deepens the awareness of negative reality and the awareness of negative reality enhances the desire of ontological origin. In addition, the awareness of negative reality leads to create the world of metaphysical conquest which embodies from the depth not the blindness of absolute denial. In his poetic world, the images of silence and peace which are inherent from the beginning show us the aspects to expand Hwaom(華嚴) epistemology. Especially in his poetic world, Hwaom metaphysical aim assumes the aspect which develops not the vertical transcendence but through the self-reflection and independent overcome. Therefore, the transcendence of Hwaom assumes the aspect that the holy things lead in the secular ones. These Hwaom effects not only as a continuous vulgar reality but also an opportunity for self-reflection and the directing point.
