국제 학술지 분석을 통한 시각장애학생의 학습 관련 보조공학 도구 연구 동향 조사

국문 초록

본 연구는 BJVI와 JVIB에 게재된 시각장애학생의 학습과 관련된 보조공학 도구에 대한 연구들을 분석함으로써 최근 연구 동향을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 선정된 52편의 연구에 대하여 반복적 비교 분석을 실시한 결과, 4개의 변인과 4개의 주제에 따라 분류하였다. 변인에 따른 연구 결과로, 발표 연도는 2012년과 2009년이 많고, 다양한 국가에서 연구가 이루어졌으나 미국의 연구가 압도적으로 많다. 시각장애인을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많고, 시각장애학생의 교사와 기타 전문가를 대상으로 한 연구도 많다. 또한 촉각을 접근 수단으로 하는 보조공학에 관한 연구가 가장 많다. 주제에 따른 연구 결과로, 시각장애학생의 교사와 기타 전문가 모두 시각장애학생의 학습에 보조공학이 중요함을 인식하고 있지만 이들 대부분은 보조공학에 관한 능력이 부족한 편이다. 한편 많은 나라들이 제도적으로는 시각장애학생에게 적절한 보조공학을 지원하도록 하고 있으나 실제로는 그렇지 못하다. 따라서 전문가 양성 과정에 시각장애인 보조공학의 지원에 관한 내용이 있어야 하고, 시각장애학생에게 적절한 보조공학을 모두 지원할 수 있는 방안이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The present study explored recent trend of assistive technology for learning of students with visual impairments through articles in BJVI & JVIB. For the purpose of study, 52 articles are analyzed through the constant comparative analysis and categorized in 4 themes and 4 variables. The results could be summarized follow: Numerous articles are published in 2012 and 2009. Articles are from various countries but almost articles are from United States. Articles participated students or adults with visual impairments are the most numerous and articles participated teachers or other specialist of students with visual impairments are numerous. The most numerous assistive technology on articles is for tactile access. Teachers or other specialist of students with visual impairments recognize importance of assistive technology for students who are visually impaired. But they are not competent for assistive technology. Many countries have prepared assistive technology in system, but not in practice. Therefore assistive technology competencies should include in specialist preparation course. Method that support all of appropriate assistive technology devices for individual students with visual impairments should be prepared.
