재만 시인 심연수 시 연구에 나타난 몇 가지 문제

국문 초록

이 논문은 재만(在滿) 시인 심연수 시 연구에 나타난 몇 가지 문제점을 제기하는데 목적이 있다. 심연수는 그동안 한국 현대 시사(詩史)에 잘 알려지지 않은 시인이다. 그러다가 2000년대 이후, 심연수 문학에 대한 연구는 중국과 한국 학계에서 가히 폭발적이라 할 만큼 급속도로 전개되었다. 심연수 초기 작품에 대해 비판적 입장을 견지하는 몇몇 논문을 제외하면 이제까지 선행연구의 공통된 견해는 “일제 암흑기의 대표적인 저항 시인” “또 하나의 시성(詩聖)” “암흑기의 민족의 별”이라는 문구에서 알 수 있듯이, 대개가 민족시인 혹은 저항시인으로 그의 문학사적 위상을 매우 높게 평가하고 있다. 그러나 본고가 판단하기에 이들의 연구는 단순 착오에서부터 논리적 모순과 ‘의도적 왜곡’에 이르기까지 심각한 문제를 노출하고 있다. 이 논문은 이러한 문제의식에서 출발한다. 이에 따라 먼저 이 글의 2장에서는 시인의 생애와 초기의 작품들을 살펴보면서 전기적(傳記的) 사실에 대한 오류 및 한계를 지적할 것이다. 이후 구체적 작품 분석을 통하여 심연수의 일부 작품이 기존의 연구논문에서 주장하는 것처럼 민족의식과 저항의식을 드러내기 보다는, 이와는 상반되게 1941년 당시 일제의 정책 이념과 왜곡된 지배 이데올로기에 동화되어 있음을 밝힐 것이다. 3장에서는 『돌아가신 할아버지』라는 작품 해석에 나타난 선행 연구자들의 문제점을 지적할 것이다. 이 작품을 다루면서 기존의 연구자들은 시 본문의 내용을 ‘의도적으로’ 훼손하거나 ‘의미의 과잉’이라는 측면에서 오류를 범하고 있다. 이는 연구자의 윤리적 태도의 문제를 의심하지 않을 수 없다. 본문의 훼손으로 인해 시적 주제 및 작품의 전체적인 구도가 달라질 수 있다는 사실을 염두에 두면, 앞으로의 연구과정에서는 보다 신중한 접근이 요구된다. 4장에서는 심연수가 일본 유학을 떠난 1943년 이후 시인의 행적과 관련된 논의를 펼칠 것이다. 그동안의 선행연구는 심연수 시인의 일본대학 졸업 일자를 1943년 7월 13일로 규정하고 있는 데, 이는 명백한 오류이다. 필자가 확인한 바로는 이 시기 일본 주요 대학의 졸업 일자는 9월 25일 혹은 9월 26일로 기록되어 있다. 따라서 기존의 논문은 실증주의적 연구 방법의 측면에서도 많은 오류를 드러내고 있음을 알 수 있다. 특히 이 문제가 학병 제도와 밀접하게 연관되어 있다는 점에서 보다 심도 깊은 논의가 전개되어야 할 것이다. 이상에서 본고는 이제까지 전개된 심연수 시 연구에 나타난 몇몇 문제를 제기하고자 했다. 이러한 본고의 작업은 최종적으로 심연수 문학의 온전한 이해에 도달하고자 하는 선행 연구자들의 목표와 일치한다는 점을 끝으로 밝혀둔다.

영문 초록

This paper studies a Korean poet on Manchuria, Shim, Yeon-Su’s poetry raised some issues which are intended. Sim, Yeon-Su’s early work that takes a critical stance with the exception of a few papers, the ever previous studies of common opinion, “In the Period of Japanese Colonial - dark days of the typical resistance poet,” “Another great poet” “Dark Ages of the nation’s star,” the phrase implies, As you can usually resist the national poet, or poet, his literary and historical position is very highly regarded. However, at the discretion of this paper is to study them from a simple mistake, from a logical contradiction and intentional distortion has exposed serious problems. This paper begins with awareness of these issues. Accordingly, in the second chapter, his early works of the poet’s life by looking at the biographical and about the fact that the error will point out the limitations. Specifically, since the number of works by analyzing the abyss of the existing research papers, some work as claimed in national consciousness and a sense of resistance, rather than exposing, 1941 in the period of Japanese colonial ever assimilated into the dominant ideology of the policies that will reveal.
