영문 초록

This study was to evaluation of operation system on the web-site for travel agencies in Jeju. New eMediaries(e.g. on-line travel agencies, portals) in the electronic distribution market challenge traditional eMediaries as they gradually penetrate the marketplace, gain direct access to tourists and increase their market share. They timely delivery of relevant, content-rich information was identified by tourists as one of the main differentiating factors in the on-line market. Traditional travel agencies, therefore, will need to re-access the situation and decide which market segment they would like to concentrate on. Travel agencies will need to transform from booking offices to travel managers and advisers, as well as to add value to the travel information in real-time by web-site. Travel agencies can either offer differentiation value, by designing the operation system of web-site which tourists will be willing to pay a premium for, or they can offer cost value by delivering less expensive products than competitors. As a result of the study, first, the respondents evaluated positively the operation system of web-site for travel agencies in Jeju. Second, the evaluation of operation system on the whole travel agency web-sites showed that components of web-sites and conveniency of managers had positive evaluation on the function and usage. However, tourism informations were not used in the web-sites. Finally, total evaluation of operation system ranked positively as the following order; F, H, D. J travel agencies.
