영문 초록

This research tries to suggest new idea on the origin of bean curd. Most of people think that bean curd is originated from China. But it started the research supposing that bean curd could be first originated from Korea. Bean, which is the ingredient of beancurd, is originated from Korea. So it is doubtful that bean curd is originated from China. There are some grounds to assert that bean curd is originated from Korea. First, bean is originated from Korea. Second, bean processed products have been developed in Korea many years ago. Third, the word ‘salt water’ appears in ancient books of Korea earlier than China. Fourth, there are some problems in the name of bean curd shown in Chinese ancient books. Fifth, Chinese people like to make some specific thoughts and products as their own property and be proud of it. Based on these ideas, it tries to suggest new viewpoints on the origin of bean curd.
