국문 초록

최근 교육과학기술부는 수업 운영 방식의 다양화와 학교 경쟁력 강화를 위한 정책의 일환으로 교과교실제를 도입, 이의 활성화를 모색하고 있다. 미술교과의 경우 타 교과에 비해 교과교실의 조성 여부 및 제반 시설이 학습 효율성에 미치는 영향이 큰 교과이다. 따라서 오늘의 학교 미술교육 현장에서는 미래 지향적인 교육 환경 개념에 따른 환경의 정비 및 시설 확충의 기반 마련이 무엇보다 시급하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 학교 현장의 요구와 국가적 시책에 터하여 중등학교 미술교과교실의 현대화 모델을 개발하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 국내외 교과교실제 운영 방향을 살펴보았으며, 현장 교사들을 대상으로 한 설문 및 요구 조사(FGI)를 통해 현장의 다양한 의견을 분석하였다. 또한 국내 여러 중등학교들의 현장 실사를 통해 미술교과교실의 형태 및 운영 방식을 고찰하였으며, 이를 통해 미술교과교실의 유형별 모델과 활용 방안, 설비ㆍ교구의 기준을 구안하여 제시하였다. 미래지향적이고 선진적 형태의 교과 교실제의 시행은 학생 중심의 탄력적인 교육과정의 운영, 기본ㆍ기초 교육과 수월성 교육, 효과적인 교육 자료의 개발 및 활용 등 다양한 교육 요소를 충족시킬 수 있는 수단이 될 수 있을 것이라고 판단된다.

영문 초록

‘The Korea Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology’(MEST, 2009) has been carrying a plan to enforce the system of variation types of classroom in ‘department system’ in order to diversify class management and to raise educational competitiveness in school. It is regarded that school art classroom is one of the major factors to effect and affect the class management and efficiency. The purpose of this study was to develop the modernized models for ‘variation types’(A, B & C Type) of art classroom in ‘department system’ in secondary school. Several researches on managing ways of classroom in department system were analyzed, and the FGI was conducted in order to investigate art teachers' variable demands on art classroom facilities and environment. Several middle and high schools(two art-oriented schools included) were selected in order to suggest the ideal architectural design and managing ways of art classroom for schools. The model types of art classroom for ‘2D’, ‘3D’, ‘art in computer’ & ‘Drawing & Painting’ in ‘department system’, ‘application plan’, and ‘facility standards’ were suggested and recommended. The base for modifying classroom environment facilities should be rearranged and expanded. The enforcement of advanced and modernized system could be satisfying variable educational elements such as flexible curriculums for student centered education, improvement of basic competences, management of intensified classes, development and application of effective educational materials.
