국문 초록

미술교육을 포함한 예술교육이 지향하는 바는 삶의 주변부가 아닌, 인간의 삶과 교육을 통해 이루고자 하는 중심이다. 미술교과의 궁극적 목적은 미학적 인식력에 바탕한 ‘심미적 이성’의 경계를 인간의 삶에 보편화하는 데 있다. 심미적 이성의 힘은 ‘인간의 완결성’을 지향한다. 미술교과는 다양한 물성체험을 통해 대상과 현상 이면에 존재하는 본질을 직관하는 능력과 미적 감수성을 정련(精鍊)하고, 심미적 체험을 통한 앎에 이르도록 하는 교과이다. 이러한 본질적 특성으로 인하여 미술교과는 미술교과만의 교육내용과 교수법이 존재하게 된다. 그러나 이러한 것을 현장의 미술교사가 알지 못할 때, 이에 부합하는 실천적 지식을 그의 수업 공간에서 창조해내지 못할 때, 미술교과의 본질적 가치와 역할은 학교교육에서 이루어질 수 없게 된다. 미술교사들의 수업 실천은 곧 미술교과의 정당성으로 이어진다. 미술교사의 교육적 감식안은 미술교과의 본질적 특성과 이에 합당한 수업실천을 지향한다. 그러하기에, 미술교사의 실천적 지식을 움직이는 힘은 교육적 감식안에 근거 삼아야 한다.

영문 초록

In my view, the intention of the art education including the fine art education is placed not in peripheral part of life but in center to be achieved through human's life and education. The ultimate purpose of art subject is to generalize the boundary of ‘aesthetic logos’ based on the aesthetic recognition within the human's life. Such an power of aesthetic logos aims at the ‘human's perfection’. The fine art subject refines the aesthetic sensitivity, the ability to intuit the essence existing behind the phenomenon and object through the various material experiences, and lead to knowing through the aesthetic experience. Because of this essential feature, the fine art subject can have its own content and the method of education. However, when a fine art teacher is not aware of it and the practical knowledge according to this cannot be created in class, the essential value and role of fine art subject are not able to be achieved in school education. The performance of this teaching by fine art teachers leads to the justice of fine art subject. The educational connoisseurship of fine art teacher aims at the essential feature of fine art subject and the suitable teaching practice. Hence, the power to motivate the practical knowledge which a fine art teacher must possess, should be based on the educational connoisseurship.
