유아들이 적극적으로 반응하는 교사의 발문전략

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사들이 ‘이야기 나누기’ 시간에 사용하는 발문에서 그들만의 전략을 찾아보고 유아의 반응을 활발하게 이끌어 가는 교사의 발문전략을 공유하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 각 연령별로 같은 주제와 교수학습매체를 사용하는 7명의 교사들을 대상으로 ‘이야기 나누기’ 시간을 6일간 녹음․녹화하였으며 그 내용을 전사하여 분석한 결과 유아들의 생각을 열어 대화에 참여하도록 하는 발문전략, 유아들의 예기치 못한 반응에 대처하는 교사들의 발문전략과 이야기 나누기를 이끌어 가는 교사들의 발문전략을 찾아내었다. 더불어 교사들과의 심층면담을 통해서 교사들이 확산적 발문에 대해서 중압감을 가지고 있으며, 발문에 대해서 실습이나 심층적인 분석을 해 본 경험이 없다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 교사가 유아들과 동등한 입장에서 함께 궁금해 하고 교사도 ‘학습자’라는 태도를 가졌을 때. 유아들이 생각해낼 수 있는 작은 기제를 제공할 때. 유아의 발문에 오류가 있을 때 유아들의 반응은 보다 적극적이었다. 유아들의 오류를 정확한 용어를 사용하여 자연스럽게 기억을 되새겨 주거나, 단서를 제공하여 다시 한 번 생각할 기회를 주거나, 여러 명의 유아들에게 이야기를 하도록 함으로써 혼자만 오답이라는 생각을 하지 않도록 하는 방법이 유아들의 활발한 참여를 이끌어 내는 발문전략이었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find the strategies of kindergarten teachers in their inquisitive techniques during 'Story sharing period' to share those good methods that actively induce reactions of the infants. In order to do so, the ‘Story sharing’ period participated by 7 teachers of different ages with same topic and teaching materials was recorded and videotaped for six days to identify their strategies to react to unexpected responses and to induce the thoughts of the infants. Moreover, it was concluded through in-depth interviews that teachers feel sense of oppression towards divergent questions and that they have never learnt about questioning. When the teacher gets curious from the same perspective of the infants, when they had attitude of 'Learner,' when they provide small hints that even infants can think, and when there are errors in the questions of infants, the responses of infants became more active. The inquisitive techniques that induce active reactions of infants were to correct the errors of infants to naturally remind them of their memories, provide them with another chance to think again and to let them talk together with other infants to let them feel that they are not the only one who is wrong.
