유아의 환경 친화적 태도 및 과학적 탐구 능력 향상을 위한 들풀 프로젝트 활동의 적용효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 주변에서 손쉽게 볼 수 있는 들풀을 이용한 프로젝트 활동이 유아의 환경에 대한 태도와 과학적 탐구 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 들풀 프로젝트 활동은 유아의 환경 친화적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 줄 것인가? 들풀 프로젝트 활동은 유아의 과학탐구능력에 어떠한 영향을 줄 것인가?라는 연구문제를 설정하고 만 5세 40명의 유아를 대상으로 참여관찰 하였다. 연구결과, 들풀 프로젝트 활동을 경험한 유아들은 일반적 주제로 학습한 유아들보다 자연친화적 태도와 환경 보존적 태도에서 긍정적인 변화를 관찰하였으며, 과학적 탐구 능력의 하위요소 중 예측하기, 관찰하기, 분류하기, 측정하기, 토의하기 등의 다섯 가지 분야에서 매우 큰 변화가 있었음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to find out how the project using the wild plants that the children are able to see easily around them could affect their attitude towards the environment and their scientific research ability. For this purpose, the following study questions were asked. How will Wild Plant Project Activity affect the environment-friendly attitude of the children positively? How will Wild Plant Project Activity also affect the scientific research ability of the children positively? And to answer these questions, 40 5-year old children were observed. The results of this study showed that the children who experienced ‘Wild Plant Project’ have more nature-friendly attitude and the environment-preserving attitude than those who studied the general subjects, and the children who experienced ‘Wild Plant Project’ brought about the great changes in the five fields(measurement, discussion, expectation, observation, classification), the subordinate elements for the scientific research ability compared to those who studied the general subjects.
