집단미술치료가 초등학생의 학습동기 강화와 학업성취도 향상에 미치는 영향 - 3학년 아동을 대상으로

국문 초록

  집단미술치료프로그램이 초등학교 3학년 아동들의 학습동기 강화와 학업성취도 향상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가를 알아보고자 하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 초등학교 3학년 아동 중 사전검사가 동질한 실험군 34명, 대조군 34명을 선정하여 실험군에게 15회기의 집단미술치료를 실시하고, 검사 도구는 학습동기 검사, 국어, 수학 성취도 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 양적분석을 위해 사전-사후 검사를 실시하여 그 결과의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고 그 유의미한 정도를 알아보기 위하여 t-검증을 실시하였고 질적 분석은 KSD와 개인별 회기분석을 하였다. 연구결과를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 실험군의 학습동기 중 자아효능감과 본질적 가치 요소를 더 강화시켰다. 둘째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 실험군의 국어학업성취도를 향상시켰다. 셋째, 집단미술치료프로그램은 집단미술치료프로그램 탐색단계에서는 학습에 자신감이 없고 소극적인 아동들이 실행단계로 접어들면서 자신에 대하여 긍정적인 인식과 자신감을 가지게 되고 수업시간에도 적극적으로 임하는 태도로 보였다. 종결단계에서는 학습활동에 흥미를 가지고 임하며 자신의 작품활동에도 보다 적극적인 자세로 작품결과에도 큰 애착을 가지게 되었다. 이러한 태도는 학업성취도를 향상시키기도 하였다. 이러한 연구 결과에 의하면 집단미술치료프로그램은 학교현장에서 아동들의 학습활동과 더불어 지속되어진다면 아동들에게 보다 적극적으로 학습활동의 동기를 부여해주고 더 나아가 아동들의 학업문제에 대한 해결방안으로 활용될 수 있으리라 여겨진다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study was to find out how the group art therapy will affect to intensify the learning motive of third grade of elementary school students and to improve the academic achievement. The object of the study was 34 students of experiment group and 34 students of comparison group who had similar results at the pre-test among the I elementary school students in their third grade who were tested by 15 rounds of the group art therapy. The test tools used for evaluation were learning motive test, subject achievement test of Korean and math, and qualitative analysis. The collected materials were performed with pre-test and post-test of which average result and standard deviation were produced and tested of t-verification to find out its meaningfulness. The conclusions obtained through the study result are as follows. First, we could see the group art therapy program of this study revealed that the learning motive had positive effects on the intensification, especially intensified the self-efficient feeling and intrinsic value statistically and meaningfully. Second, we could know the group art therapy of this study improved the Korean learning achievement out of two subjects of Korean and math, significantly and statistically. Third, the group art therapy revealed qualitative change in the drawing observed by rounds, and at the test performed before and after the Kinetic School Drawing. In conclusion, it has been proved the group art therapy had positive influences to intensify the learning motive of the elementary school students in their third grade, and to improve their academic achievements. Should these group art therapy be continued along with the practical learning activity of the students at the school, it is expected the children will be given with more intensified learning motive and further it may be utilized as solving ways for learning issues of the children.
