초등미술교육의 현황과 미술영재의 육성방안

국문 초록

  초등학교시기에 미술적 재능이 있는 아동을 조기에 발굴하여 육성하는 것은 미술영재 개인의 영광뿐만 아니라 우리나라와 같이 부존자원이 부족한 나라가 미래의 선두주자가 되기 위한 가장 바람직한 교육이며 투자이다. 초등학교에서 미술영재를 교육하고 육성하기 위해서는 초등학교 미술교육이 미술영재를 교육하기에 적합한지 다각도로 분석해야 한다. 우선 초등미술교육에서 이루어지는 미술교육의 현황과 문제점을 파악하고, 미술영재를 교육할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 것이 중요하다. 이에 본문에서는 초등미술교육에 나타난 다양한 문제점 중에서 과밀한 학급인원과 미술의 특수성, 표현방법의 반복성, 재료의 한계성, 전문성을 지적하고 보완점을 제시하였다. 또한 초등미술교육에서 미술영재의 필요성과 중요성을 서술하고 미술영재의 육성방안으로 첫째, 다문화 교육의 중요성을 제시하였다. 둘째, 다양한 학문적 교류를 통해 영재성을 발휘할 수 있는 통합교육의 필요성을 제시하였다. 셋째, 학문간 통합을 위한 소통의 중요성을 제시하였다. 미술영재는 과학이나 수학영재와 달리 개성이 강하고 직감력이 우수하기 때문에 앞으로 초등교육에서 미술영재의 특성과 성향을 분석하고 육성하는 것은 미래세계를 선도할 인재를 육성하는 지름길이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

  To develop and cultivate, at an early stage, a child having an artistic talent at an elementary school period is the individual glory of a gifted person in art as well as the most desirable education and investment for a country like us having insufficient natural resources to be a future leader. For an elementary school to educate and cultivate a gifted person in art, it is necessary to analyze in a multilateral aspect whether the elementary school"s art education is proper to educate the gifted person in art. First of all, it is important to find out the current state and problem in art education which is conducted in terms of an elementary school"s art education and to present the plan to educate such a gifted person in art. In this regard, this paper pointed out the overcrowded number of class member, peculiar nature in art, repeated nature in expression method, limitation in material, and professional nature among diverse problems shown in terms of elementary school"s art education and suggested the point for supplementation. In addition, it provided the necessity and importance of gifted person in art regarding an elementary school"s art education. Regarding the plan to cultivate the gifted person in art, it first proposed the significance of multi-cultural education. Second, it suggested the necessity of integrated education to exert a talent through diverse academic exchanges. Third, it presented the importance of communication for interdisciplinary integration. Since a gifted person in art has a strong individuality unlike a gifted person in science or mathematics and an excellent intuition, to analyze the feature and tendency of a and cultivate gifted person in art at an elementary education and cultivate such a gifted person will be a shortcut to develop a talented person who can lead a future world.
