‘풍경’에 관한 시각문화적 의미론

국문 초록

  풍경이라는 용어와 개념을 심층적으로 이해하기 위해서는 지금까지 알고 있는 이상적이고 관념적인 이해보다 상호학문적이고 다매체적인 접근이 필요하며 그러기 위해서는 풍경이라는 영역을 미술과 사진 그리고 영화에서 도출된 몇 개의 구체적인 예를 들면서 추적하고자 하였다. 풍경에 관한 시각문화적인도상들이 어떤 의미작용이 발생하였는가라는 문제를 인문사회학적인 시각과 미술사의 입장에서 보기 위하여, 바른케(Warnke, Martin)의 정치적 풍경을 분석하였다. 그리고 버거(Berger, John)와 버크(Burke, Peter)를 통하여 서구에서의 풍경을 소유의 의미로 해석하는 것을 사회사적인 시각과 정치적 도상해석학적 측면을 함께 정리 하였다. 이어서 오병욱의 논고에서 동양산수화에서의 풍경을 요약 한후에, 현대사진가 미즈락(Misrach, Richard)과 팔(Pfahl, John)의 풍경사진을 기술하여 사진표현을 대조시켰다. 마지막으로 큐브릭(Kubrick, Stanley)의 영화 〈배리 린든(Barry Lyndon)〉과 그리너웨이(Greenaway, Peter)의 〈영국식 정원 살인사건(The Draughtsman’s Contract)〉에서 연출된 풍경 이용을 읽어 봄으로서 풍경과 경계에 대한 새로운 사유를 회화적 프레임과 영화적 프레임의 기능과 회화 자체에 대한 논제로 보고, 이를 라캉(Lacan, Jacques)의 시각예술이론에 적용하였다. 풍경은 회화의 영역에 머무는 것은 아니며 풍경의 다양한 의미를 이해하고자 다른 방식으로 언술하는 장르들을 연결하였다. 결국 한 용어는 우리가 인식하고 있는 인식론의 범주보다는 매체의 경계를 넘나들 때 더욱 넓어진다는 것이다.

영문 초록

  This article is written on Landscape through visual culture icons involved in cultural terms and concepts. I suggest, something is left over when one says ideological landscape and something is not present when one says political landscape. The fact that landscape has been used to refer to the same conceptual terrain as aesthetics and history of art, makes it an important term in any understanding of the nature of landscape. Intertextuality of epistemologic -al understanding in terms of landscape what follows history of art, aesthetics begins, to sociology, politics, psychoanalysis, post-structuralism, phenomenology, cultural theory, contemporary photography and art cinema. l also again recognize that any theme that is based on visual culture, it is interdisciplinary, crossdisci -plinary, transversality as designating of Schrag.
  In this article, I discuss not only aesthetics and fine art but also epistemology, political sociology, psychoanalysis, new media of art such as photography and cinema. That follows, landscape and interdisciplinary of component, political sociology from Martin Warnke of 『Politische Landschaft』, art history and sociology from John Berger of 『Ways of Seeing』, political sociology from Peter Burke of 『Eyewitnessing: The Use of Images as Historical Evidence』, political sociology and philosophy from Pierre Bourdieu of 『Un Art Moyen』, modern photography theory in Andy Grundberg and Kathleen McCarthy Gauss of 『Photography and Art』, psychoanalysis from Jacques Lacan of 『The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psycho-Analysis』, modern photography theory and art history from John Tagg of 『The Burden of Representation』. I"ve characterized not fixing terms, ethos of landscape, living critical category or territory.
