국문 초록

  ？子는 말에 오를 때와 승마 시 기수의 안정을 도와주는 역할을 하여 전쟁 시 여러 무기류를 장착하는 重裝騎兵을 가능하게 했던 마구류이다. 백제등자의 경우 철판을 이용하여 목심을 부분적으로 보강한 형태의 출토 비율이 높아 분류상에 어려움이 있지만 철판에 남아있는 목질의 양상으로 복원이 가능하며 이를 통해 일찍부터 輪？뿐만 아니라 壺？도 제작되었음을 알 수 있다.
  등자의 변화양상은 총 4期로 분류할 수 있다. Ⅰ期는 ⅠA1형식, ⅠB1형식, Ⅱa1형식이 출현하며 鐵矛와 大刀 등 무기류의 부장이 거의 없는 점 등에서 아직 중장기병이 정착되지 못했음을 알 수 있다. 하지만 일찍부터 Ⅱa1형식과 같은 독자적인 등자를 개발함으로써 자체개발이 이른 시기부터 행해졌음을 유추할 수 있다. Ⅱ期는 전 단계에 사용되던 형식이 여전히 사용되면서 측면 폭이 넓은 목재를 사용하는 ⅠA2형식뿐만 아니라 ⅠB2형식, ⅠB3형식이 새롭게 등장한다. 공반유물에 있어 鐵矛, 盛矢具, 大刀類 등의 무기류가 증가하고 있어 중장기병이 정착되었음을 알 수 있다. Ⅲ期는 ⅠB1형식이 더 이상 보이지 않으며 ⅠA3형식, ⅠB4형식, ⅠC2형식 등이 새롭게 출현한다. 자기류의 부장이 눈에 띄게 증가하며 의복과 관련된 장신구류도 증가한다. Ⅳ期는 다양한 형태의 호등이 출토되면서 윤등은 점차 철제의 비율이 증가한다. 이른 시기부터 나타난 ⅠA1형식도 계속 사용되지만 재질에 있어 金銅裝을 사용하고 있는 점이 주목되며, Ⅱa1형식에도 철판과 목심의 결구에 銀被圓頭釘을 사용하여 장식하는 등 장식성이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 마구류 중에서 운주나 행엽과 같은 장신구류도 다양하게 나타난다.
  백제마구의 조형을 중국동북지방에서 찾고자 하는 일련의 연구는 계속되고 있으나, 등자에 있어서는 柄部가 길지 않고 踏受部의 중앙부가 돌출되지 않는 밋밋한 형태는 아직까지 동북지방에서는 보이지 않고 있다. 당시 금공품 등을 그들의 기호에 맞게 중국 중앙지역에서 제작했다는 연구를 통해 마구류도 이와 동일했을 것으로 생각되며 이때 생산된 것이 백제지역에 유입되었을 것으로 추정된다.

영문 초록

  The stirrup is one of the horse trappings which function to help riders" safety on riding and heavy cavalry in the war. In case of the stirrups were excavated from the Backjae area, these have some hardship to classify because of the high rate of reinforced type use an iron plate to the wooden frame. However the wooden plate is restored, and it shows us that it has been made not only the loop stirrups but also the stirrups with hollow to receptacle at one time.
  The change aspect of the stirrups is classified into 4 Periods.
  Period Ⅰ : New types, ⅠA1？ⅠB1 and Ⅱa1, appear. And the heavy cavalry isn"t possible yet, because weapons burial such as a iron spear and a large size sword.
  Period Ⅱ : The former period type has been used. And new type appear includingⅠA2 use a thick wood, ⅠB2 and ⅠB3, a iron helmet, a strap union and a large size sword were excavated with stirrups are getting increase. It show us the settlement of the heavy cavalry.
  Period Ⅲ : Type ⅠB1 doesn"t appear any more, And new type, ⅠA3, ⅠB4 and ⅠC2, appear. Ceramics burial and ornaments, are related to clothes, are increase notably.
  Period Ⅳ : Type ⅠA1 has been from the early period has used constantly. But it uses a gilt bronze and appears stirrups with hollow toe receptacle have various shape. And ornament is increase such as a circle-head shaped cover silver leaf decorate the crossing part iron plate and wooden frame. And various ornaments of the horse trappings, such as a crupper boss and pendant, appear.
  The study which try to search the origin of the Backjae stirrups have continued. But in the northeastern area, the type doesn"t appear a long a grip and a flat shaped pedal doesn"t have a protrusion.
  Through the study which the metal works and so on were made in the middle of China, the stirrups would be made the same methode, and the stirrups were made at that time would be flowed in Backjae area.
