국문 초록

  연천군 중면 삼곶리 임진 강변에서 70점의 석기를 채집하였다. 이 글에서는 70점 석기 중 자연석영석제 32점과 불탄 석재 35점을 소개한다.
  불탄 석재석기 35점은 임진강변에서 발견된 최초의 지표채집이다. 이 석기의 성격은 대장석 편석기(flake-blade tool)가 주류를 이루고 있다. 또한 이 석기 중 간접타법과 르발르와 기술(levallois technique)에 의한 석핵5점과 르발르와 석편(flake) 4점은 중기 구석기시대의 전통을 이어내려온 것이다. 필자가 발굴한 원당리 6차 조사의 성과에 의하면, 이번에 확인된 불탄석기는 후기 구석기시대에 속한다.
  종합하면, 원당리 6차 발굴결과에 따라서, 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다:

영문 초록

  The great interest of stone industries at Sam got ri of the leptolithic and mousterian(middle paleolithic) tradition. the industry is basically middle paleolithic with tortoise cores and blade, scrapers and burins. That is based on flake-blades by levallois technique.
  The industry is of middle paleolithic type with concentration on flake-blade production from prepared core. This is based on the production of 6 flake-blades tools are more 16 cm of long by levallois technique.
  Tortois core(5 cores of burnt stone) from which on blade-like flake has been struck. The long and large flake-blade struck from tortoise core, retouched all around by bar-hammer flaking. The flake, with their wide faceted striking platform are distinctive.
  These collection of the burnt stone tools is considered could be of upper paleolithc period.
  According to these collections of the tool made from the burnt stone with levallois technique, I can establish the sequence of the typology and stratigraphy in .Im Jin River valley as follow (for example. 4 layers of Wondangli site);
  1 layer) surface, with burnt stone tools, upper paleolithic
  2 layer) cultural layer, flake tool, middle paleolithic
  3 layer) sterile
  4 layer) chopper cores, lower paleolthic
