국문 초록

  金宗直 이후 성리학을 삶의 기본으로 삼았던 士林派 가운데 성리학을 긍정하면서도 사장詞章을 부정시하지 않고 생활의 여기로 받아들여 자연스런 정감을 울려내어 시화하려던 부류가 湖南詩壇을 이루었다. 朴祥은 士林派의 선비이지만 실재의 시문 창작에 밝았던 시인이었다. 이러한 사장에 대한 긍정과 서정적인 당시풍을 지향했던 박상에 의해 호남시단에 전파되었고, 그의 제자였던 林億齡과 조카 朴淳에게 전해졌으며, 이어 16세기 朝鮮 시단을 풍미했던 학당의 새 풍조는 마침내 崔慶昌, 白光勳, 李達이라는 삼당시인에 와서 문풍을 변화시키기에 이르렀다.   자연스런 시란 정교하게 조탁하여 이 가해졌음을 느끼면서도 그 수식을 잡아낼 수 없는 것을 뜻한다. 작품의 내밀화를 극대화시키기 위해 조탁을 하되 작품 속에 조탁의 흔적을 찾아볼 수 없는 경지가 자연이란 언어예술풍격이다. 湖南詩人 시인들은 시인으로서 천재적 재능이 있고, 또 한 전공하고 연마하여 자연스런 시를 창조해내었다. 그들은 호남의 문화적 분위기 속에서 唐詩를 수용하여 시 창작에 있어서 까다로운 수사와 난해한 典故의 사용을 배제하고, 자신의 삶에서 우러나온 솔직한 정서를 이해하기 쉬운 언어로 표현하였다.   그들의 시는 산수？전원간의 풍류와 이에 대한 희구를 그리는 내용이 많다. 이러한 내용의 시를 통하여 불우한 자신들의 현실을 超克하고, 나아가 雅麗한 자연미와 淸澄한 전원생활의 멋을 담박하게 그려냄으로써 고결한 시 세계를 이룰 수가 있었다. 그들은 온후하고 古雅한 인간미와 섬세한 정감을 가진 시인들이었다. 그들은 자신이 느낀 정감을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있는 탁월한 詩才를 바탕으로 같은 詩材일지라도 분위기나 상황에 따라 適宜한 시어를 사용함으로써 자연의 미를 아름답게 표현하였다. 그들의 시는 관념적이라기보다 실제 생활에서 느낀 구체적이며 개인적인 情緖를 솔직하게 표현하여 생활의 정감을 詩로 형상화하였다.

영문 초록

  Honam poetical circle was mainly composed of scholars of Shi-lin(士林) who acknowledged Neo-Confucianism(性理學) and at the same time did not deny Ci-zhang(詞章). Pak Sang(朴祥) was one of the scholars of Shi-lin(士林) and he was talented in creative writing. His acceptance of Ci-zhang(詞章) and lyrical poeti style influenced Lim Eyok-Lyeong(林億齡), his student, and Pak Soon(朴淳), his cousin and finally Choi Kyeong-Chang(崔慶昌), Baek Kwang-Hoon(白光勳), and Lee Dal(李達), Samdang School poets.   Honam poetical circlel poets were not only gifted as poets but also exerted themselves to create unartificial poems. They incorporated Tang poetry amidst the cultural ambience of the Honam(湖南) area. With the exception of there fastidious rhetoric and abstruse use of authentic precedents(典故), they expressed there honest arising from there own life expriences in a language that were easily comprehensible. There poetry abound with the picturesque scenery of nature and are filled with a longing for rural life. Composing there kind of poetry helped them overcome the adverse realities of there life. Furthermore, by depiciting the elegant beauty of nature and the charm of rural life in a frank, open-hearted manner, they achieved a lofty poetic style.   They had a gentle pernogality and a humaneness endowed with a classical grace and refined sensibility. They possessed a superb talent for versifying there emotions freely, and even when they wrote about the same subject, they expressed the beauty of nature in the context of the atmosphere and situation at hand and chose the most suitable poetic diction accordingly. There poetry are far from being purely idealistic or metaphysical; by honestly expressing the very personal and concrete feeling derived from there own life they shaped the emotions of everyday life into poetry.
