국문 초록

본 연구는 유치원 교육의 내실화와 질적 향상을 위하여 중요한 기능을 수행하는 유치원 평가의 의의를 기술하고, 합리적인 평가 준거와 절차를 탐색하기 위해 전미유아교육협회(National Association for the Education of Young Children: NAEYC)에서 개발·실시하고 있는 평가인증 준거를 탐색·제시한다. 유치원 평가에 관한 국내·외 선행연구들을 토대로 하여 미국의 NAEYC의 유아 프로그램 기준과 평가인증 준거를 소개하였고 국내 학자들의 유치원 관련 평가의 준거들을 비교·제시하였다. 이를 통하여 궁극적으로 우리나라 유아교육 프로그램의 질적 향상을 위한 평가 준거와 절차를 마련하는데 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study was to compare and present the criteria of kindergarten evaluation in America and Korea. For achieving the purpose, the study analyzed and presented the criteria of Korean kindergarten evaluation and American NAEYC's early childhood program and evaluation accreditation based on Korean and American previous research. The study shows that kindergarten evaluation can be used as the criterion of the kindergarten-itself evaluation and it can present the positive direction of early childhood education base on the reliability and validity of the criterion of kindergarten evaluation. The study discussed the actual operational strategy of kindergarten evaluation and the suggestions for further research in kindergarten evaluation.
