교사의 놀이지원역량이 유아 놀이몰입에 미치는 영향 -교사의 공감능력을 매개로-

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 놀이지원역량과 유아 놀이몰입 간의 영향 관계에서 교사의 공감능력 매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 충남에 재직하고 있는 유아교사 214명과 담당하는 학급의 유아 642명을 연구대상으로 놀이지원역량 척도, 유아 놀이몰입 척도, 공감능력 척도를 활용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 25를 사용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석을 실시하였으며 매개효과 분석을 위해 Hayes의 Process macro 4.2에서 Model 4를 적용하여 Bootstrapping을 실시하여 간접효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 놀이지원역량, 유아 놀이몰입, 공감능력 간에 서로 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공감능력은 교사의 놀이지원역량과 유아 놀이몰입 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아 놀이몰입에 영향을 미치는 교사의 놀이지원역량, 공감능력 간의 구조적 관계를 알아보고, 유아 놀이몰입에 기여하는 교사의 놀이지원역량과 공감능력 관계의 중요성을 밝혔다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of teacher’s empathetic ability on relationship between teacher’s play support competency and young children’s play flow. To this end, 214 early childhood teachers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Chungnam and 642 children in the class in charge were surveyed using the teacher’s play support competency scale, young children’s play flow scale, and teacher’s empathetic ability scale. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 25. In order to analyze mediating effects, Model 4 was applied in Hayes’ Process macro 4.2, and indirect effects were verified through Bootstrapping. The results were summarized, as follows: Firstly, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between teacher’s play support competency, young children’s play flow, and teacher’s empathetic ability. Second, the teacher’s empathetic ability has partially mediated the relationship between the teacher’s play support competency and young children’s play flow. These results are meaningful in that they investigated the structural relationship between teacher’s play support competency and teacher’s empathetic ability that affect young children’s play flow, and revealed the importance of teacher's play support competency and empathetic ability that contribute to children's play flow.
