학교단위 교사학습공동체의 발달이 학생의 비인지적 성취에 미치는 효과 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교단위 교사학습공동체의 발달 정도에 따라서 교사와 학생의 비인지적 성취에 미치는 효과를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 경기교육종단연구(GEPS) 6차년도의 117개 중학교의 3학년 학생 4,516명과 교사 1,186명을 대상으로 다층구조방정식(MSEM) 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교단위 교사학습공동체가 발달할수록 순차적으로 교사들의 교직만족도와 학생들이 인지한 교사열의에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 교사학습공동체가 발달한 학교일수록 학생들은 교사와의 관계를 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 이는 교사학습공동체가 교사의 교직 만족도를 제고시키고 교사 열의를 높임으로써 긍정적인 학교문화를 창출하여 학생과 교사와의 관계 개선에 영향을 준다는 것을 의미한다. 마지막으로 교사학습공동체가 발달할수록 학생의 자아존중감과 학교만족도는 높이고 교사로부터 받는 차별 경험은 완화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 학교 단위의 교사학습공동체가 발달할수록 학생의 비인지적 성취에 영향력을 발휘하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 교사학습공동체는 단순히 교사 전문성 제고의 대안적인 연수로 인정받는 것을 넘어서 학교문화를 개선하여 교육력을 제고할 수 있는 실천적인 활동으로 접근되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to reveal the effects of School-based Professional Learning Communities(School-based PLCs) on students’ non-cognitive skills,. In particular, this study tried to find the possibility of PLCs as a factor in determining effective schools by revealing the paths of effectiveness in the processes of schooling. This study conduct statistical analysis of multilevel structural equations modeling(MSEM) were performed using data from the 4th and 6th years of the Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS). It confirmed the effect of School-based PLCs influencing non-cognitive skills, and established the path. As a result of the analysis, non-cognitive skills, - students' self-esteem, school satisfaction and discriminatory experience - showed a positive influence. First, as School-based PLCs developed, it had a positive effect on teachers' satisfaction and enthusiasm that their students' perceived. Second, this advanced School-based PLCs improve the Teacher-Student Relationship. School-based PLCs were playing a role in determining effective schools that contributed to students’ non-cognitive skills, while improving school culture. Finally, School-based PLCs was effective in the non-cognitive skills of students, which was found to increase self-esteem and school satisfaction and to alleviate the discrimination. The findings suggest the need to approach PLCs as practical activities in schools to improve the school education through reorganization of school culture beyond the status of alternative training to enhance teacher expertise.
