유아교사의 미디어 리터러시에 대한 교육요구도 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시에 대한 교육요구도를 알아보고자하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 연구의 목적에 맞게 미디어 리터러시 요구도 조사를 위한 문항을 개발하였으며 유아교사 215명을 대상으로 대응표본 t-test, Borich 요구도와 the Locus for Focus model을 중심으로 요구도 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시에 있어서 ‘접근과 활용’, ‘소통과 참여’영역이 중요하게 고려되어야 할 영역으로 나타났다. 둘째 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시에 있어서 각 영역별 최우선 순위와 차순위를 산출한 결과, ‘접근과 활용’, ‘비판적 이해’, ‘소통과 참여’영역에서 최우선적으로 고려되어야 할 요구가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시에 대한 필요도와 실행도를 파악하고 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시를 위해 각 영역별로 어떠한 내용들이 우선적으로 반영되어야 하는지 도출한 데 그 의의가 있다. 이러한 결과는 유아교사의 미디어 리터러시 프로그램 개발 및 교육 계획 수립에 있어 기초자료로서 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to know early childhood teachers’ educational needs for media literacy. For this purpose, we developed questions for media literacy survey in accordance with the purpose of the study and educational needs were analyzed based on paired-sample test, Borich need assessment and the Locus for Focus model. As a result of the study, first, ‘Access and Utilization’ and ‘Communication and Participation’ were found to be important areas to be considered in the media literacy of early childhood teachers. Second, as a result of analyzing the highest and second priority for each area, the highest priority with needs was ‘Access and Utilization’, ‘Critical Understanding’ and ‘Communication and Participation’. The results of this study are meaningful in identifying the needs and execution of early childhood teachers for media literacy and deriving which contents should be reflected in each area first for media literacy of early childhood teachers. The results of this study can be usefully used as basic data for developing a media literacy program and establishing an education plan for early childhood teachers.
