인공지능교육 관련 연구주제 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 2016년 이후 국내 등재지 및 등재후보지에 실린 인공지능교육 관련 연구논문들의 연구 동향을 분석하여 향후 연구의 개선 방향을 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 RISS에서 논문 제목 검색에 인공지능 또는 AI , 그리고 교육 이라는 키워드로 검색하여 추출된 276편의 논문들을 대상으로 연도별 논문 수와 추세, 학술지별 빈도, 워드클라우드와 네트워크 텍스트 분석, 클러스터 분석을 하였다. 연구결과: 분석결과, 초등 인공지능교육 관련 논문의 양은 2016년부터 서서히 증가하다가 2020년부터 급속히 증가했다. 이는 정부가 2019년 말부터 시작한 인공지능 관련 산업육성 정책 및 ‘인공지능융합교육전공 대학원’ 개설 및 운영정책의 영향으로 보인다. 연구주제 면에서는 ‘초등’이 연결정도, 매개성, 근접중심성 모두 높았다. 교과 내용 면에서도 주로 활용에 관련된 키워드들이 영향력이 높았다. 이런 영향인지, 논문 출판도 초중등 교과교육과 컴퓨터교육을 주로 다루는 몇 개의 학술지에 편중되어 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 전체적으로 인공지능교육의 철학, 개념, 목적 등과 관련된 연구는 거의 보이지 않았고, 주로 단순 활용 관련 연구가 많았다. 인공지능교육은 물론 인공지능융합교육의 방향이 올바로 정립되기 위해서는 앞으로 전자에 관련된 연구들은 물론 강인공지능에 관한 논문들, 그리고 인공지능 융합교육 전반은 물론 인공지능, 융합과 같은 하위 요소들에 대해서도 철학적 담론이 많이 나타나야 할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to provide an overarching research recommendation for the emergent field of ‘AI convergence education’ through a research trend analysis of 183 journal articles that were published since 2012 or have been approved for publication on Korea Citation Index (KCI)-listed journals. Method: For the research trend analysis, only journal articles with “artificial intelligence/AI” and “education” listed in the title were gathered through a key word search on Research Information Sharing System (RISS). Results: First, the number of publications related to primary education and AI education, while having shown incremental growth since 2016, started to rapidly increase since 2020. It attributes the sudden preponderance of publications to: (a) the Korean government’s national AI industry fostering policy undertaken since late 2019; and its subsequent implementation of the ‘AI convergence education’ policy for higher education institutions. In terms of research topics, ‘elementary’ had the highest connectivity and centrality degree. Key words related to utilizing AI also showed high relevance to education subjects. In a similar vein, journal article publications were also concentrated on select journals about computer education in basic/secondary education. Discussion and Conclusion: Our network text analysis revealed that most of the articles were focused on operationalizing AI convergence education as opposed to articles that discussed the philosophy, conceptualization, and purpose of AI convergence education. Based on our findings, we recommend that research related to Strong AI and substantive philosophies that undergird the implications of AI be expanded.
