COVID-19 전후 대학의 교수방법 운영 실태 및 혁신교수법에 대한 요구 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 COVID-19 전후 대학의 교수방법 운영 실태를 파악하고, 혁신교수법에 대한 교수, 학생의 인식 및 수요를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 연구 목적을 위해 서울 D대학의 교수, 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS를 활용하여 빈도분석, t검정, 다중응답분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, COVID-19 이후 교수방법의 다양성이 줄어들었으며, 교수, 학생 모두 강의식 수업을 교육적인 측면에서 더 효과적으로 인식, 선호하는 경향이 높았다. 특히, 학생에게서 그러한 경향이 더 강하게 나타났다. 둘째, 교수‧학습 변화 필요성, 교수‧학습 변화 선호도, 혁신교수법 세부 유형에 대한 인지도, 참여 의사에 있어서는 교수가 학생보다 더 높게 나타났다. 교수, 학생 모두 혁신교수법의 세부 유형에 대한 인지도가 높을수록 향후 혁신교수법의 교수‧학습에 참여할 의사가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 혁신교수법 운영을 위해 필요한 지원으로 교수는 워크숍, 컨설팅과 같은 교육 및 혁신교수법에 대한 정보 제공, 학생은 홍보 강화에 대한 요구가 높게 나타났다. 실시간 원격수업 환경에서 혁신교수법 운영에 필요한 기술 및 소프트웨어 지원에 대한 요구도 있었다. 논의 및 결론: 대학교육에서의 혁신교수법을 적용‧확산하기 위해서는 교수뿐만 아니라 학생 대상으로 교수‧학습 변화의 필요성과 방향성, 혁신교수법의 세부 유형, 교육적 효과에 대한 체계적인 홍보를 강화해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the use of teaching methods in universities before and after the COVID-19 pandemic and the perception and demands of the professors and students about innovative teaching methods. Method: To this end, a survey was conducted on the professors and students of D University in Seoul. Results: The research findings were as follows. First, the diversity of teaching methods decreased after the outbreak of the COVID-19, and the professors and the students recognized the lecture method as more effective and preferred it in the educational dimension. Especially, the tendency appeared stronger in the students. Second, the professors had a stronger perception than the students about the necessity of teaching·learning changes, preferences in teaching·learning changes, and awareness about the detailed types of innovative teaching methods and the intention to participate. The professors and students showed high intention to participate in the teaching·learning with innovative teaching methods followed by a higher perception about the detailed types of innovative teaching methods. Third, in the case of the essential support for the use of innovative teaching methods, the professors had high demands about education like workshops and consulting and information about innovative teaching methods while the students had high demands about reinforcing publicity. In the real-time remote class environment, there were demands of technology and software support necessary for the use of innovative teaching methods. Conclusion: The necessity and direction of teaching·learning changes, detailed types of innovative teaching methods, and the systematic publicity about the educational effects should be reinforced for the students, not only the professors, to apply and expand the innovative teaching methods in university education.
