국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 고등학생의 자기외모수용, 자존감안정성, 또래애착 및 우울 간의 연구모형을 설정하여 구조적 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 부산, 경남의 고등학생 367명(남학생 181명, 여학생 186명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 자료 분석에는 SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 22.0을 사용하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 자기외모수용은 자존감안정성 및 또래애착에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 우울에는 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 즉, 고등학생의 자기외모수용이 높을수록 자존감안정성과 또래애착이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자존감안정성과 또래애착은 우울에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 자기외모수용과 우울의 관계에서 자존감안정성과 또래애착의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 자존감안정성과 또래애착의 유의한 매개효과를 확인하였다. 즉, 자기외모수용은 자존감안정성과 또래애착을 매개하여 우울에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 이러한 결과를 토대로 고등학생의 자기외모수용과 자존감안정성, 또래애착 및 우울의 관계의 구조적 관계를 확인하였으며, 고등학생의 우울을 예방하기 위한 자기외모수용의 방안과 자존감안정성과 또래애착의 중요성 및 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationships among high school student s self-appearance acceptance, stability of self-esteem, peer attachment, and depression. And the mediating effect of stability of self-esteem and peer attachment in the relationship between self-appearance acceptance and depression. Method: For the research a survey of 367 high school students (181 male students and 186 female students) in Busan and Gyeongnam was conducted. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 and Amoss 22.0. Results: First, self-appearance acceptance had a significant effect with stability of self-esteem and peer attachment but not with depressiont. In means high snhool students have a high score of self-appearance acceptance, stability of self-esteem, and peer attachment. Second, stability of self-esteem and peer attachment had significant effects on depression. Third, stability of self-esteem and peer attachment mediated between self-appearance acceptance and depression. It means self-appearance acceptance has an indirect effect on depression by mediating a stability of self-esteem and peer attachment. Conclusion: Based on these results, the structural relationship between self-appearance acceptance, stability of self-esteem, peer attachment, and depression of high school students was confirmed. To prevent the high school students’ depression, the accept attitude of self-appearance, importance of stability of self-esteem, peer attachment, and educational implications were discussed.
