중도입국학생 학업 영향 요인의 질적 분석

국문 초록

급증하는 중도입국학생의 학업에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고 정책지원 방안을 도출하기 위해 경남전체지역 한국어전담교육 경력교원 총 12명을 대상으로 연구를 실시했다. 한국어전담학급교사 10명과 한국어전담교육경력교원 2명을 대상으로 집단초점인터뷰(FGI)를 3회 실시했다. 중도입국학생의 학업영향요인분석에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정요인은 가정해체, 가정폭력, 난민이라는 위치가 영향요인이었다. 가정폭력피해를 당한 학생은 학년이 올라갈수록 자존감이 더 낮아지는 악순환을 보였다. 둘째, 문화요인은 부모출신국가별로 차이가 있었다. 귀화여부에 따른 차이요인도 있었다. 상급학교 진학률이 낮은 배경을 가진 부모는 아이진학에 소극적이었다. 국가별로 과목 교육과정 및 언어학적 차이도 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 제도(학교)요인 중 신규한국어 강사는 학생이해도가 부족하여 학생의 한국어 향상이 더뎠다. 동료교사 인식과 철학가치 공유가 미흡해서 한국어전담교사의 사업과 프로그램에 비협조적이었다. 넷째, 제도(기관)요인 중 한국어교재수준이 세분화되지 않아 학생별 발달단계와 맞지 않았다. 객관식 시험과 피드백 없는 평가위주가 학습에 영향을 미쳤다. 초등학교는 학업성취도가 나쁘지 않으나 중학교는 상대적으로 나빴다. 중학교는 또래관계가 한국어와 학업성취도에 큰 영향을 미쳤다.

영문 초록

The study was conducted on a total of 12 experienced teachers of Korean language education in all regions of South Gyeongsang Province to analyze the factors affecting the soaring number of middle-of-the-road students studies and draw up policy support measures. A group of 10 Korean language teachers and two Korean language teachers conducted three FGI interviews. The results of the study on the factors of academic impact of middle-aged students are as follows. First, the home factors were the dismantling of the home, domestic violence, and the location of refugees. Students who suffered from domestic violence showed a vicious cycle of lower self-esteem as they went up to school. Second, the cultural factors differed according to the country from country to country. There was also a difference between naturalization and naturalization. Parents with low high school enrollment rates were reluctant to go to school. Subject curriculum and linguistic differences by country also affected. Third, among the factors of the system (school), the new Korean language instructor was slow to improve the Korean language due to the lack of understanding of students. The lack of awareness of fellow teachers and sharing of philosophical values made it uncooperative in the business and programs of Korean language teachers. Fourth, the level of Korean textbooks among the factors of the system (institutions) was not subdivided, which did not fit the development stage of each student. Evaluation without multiple choice tests and feedback affected learning. Elementary school grades are not bad, but middle school is relatively bad. In middle school, peer relationships had a big impact on Korean language and academic performance.
