예비초등교사의 음악교육에 대한 태도

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예비초등교사들의 음악교육에 대한 태도를 조사하는데 있다. 이를 위해 초등음악교육론과 음악교과교재연구 및 지도법을 수강하고 현장 참관실습을 마친 A교육대학교 2학년 예비교사(213명)를 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 최종 회수된 203부 중 응답이 불성실한 설문지를 제외한 총 195부를 연구자료로 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비교사들은 초등교육과정에서 음악교과의 위상에 대하여 대체로 긍정적인 태도를 보였으나 과반수가 음악교과 지도가 편안하지 않다고 응답하였다. 반면, 음악과 다른 교과의 통합지도가 편안하다고 인식하고 있으며, 음악학습의 타교과목 학업 성취 증진에 대해 긍정적 인식을 하였다. 둘째, 대다수는 초등교육과정에 음악교과의 포함에 대해 매우 높은 긍정의 태도를 가지고 있었지만, 다른 교과목에 비해 음악교과의 상대적인 중요도는 다소 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 음악교육의 가치에 대해서 음악수업의 비음악적 효과를 음악적 효과보다 더 중요하게 인식하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to survey preservice elementary teachers at B National University of Education located A region to determine their attitudes toward music in the elementary curriculum. For this study, a survey was administered to 213 preservice elementary teachers enrolled both Introduction to elementary school music education and Teaching materials and methods for music education in the elementary school, and finished early field experience during the 2017-2018 academic year. A total of 203 questionnaires were collected and 195 questionnaires among them were analyzed except the questionnaires that were answered incompletely. The findings of this study were as follows. First, Data indicated that participants have a positive attitude toward the status of music in the elementary curriculum, but majority of them do not feel comfortable teaching music subject. On the other hand, they feel comfortable integrating music with other subjects and agree that music study can improve achievement in other disciplines. Second, most of respondents are highly positive that music should include in the elementary curriculum, but they regard music as less important than other subjects. Last, participants regard nonmusical outcomes of music instruction as more important than musical outcomes.
