유아 사고력 교육 관련 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아대상 사고력 교육 관련 연구 동향을 살펴보기 위해 유아 사고력 교육 관련 연구가 처음 발표된 1996년부터 2020년까지 한국연구재단(KCI)의 등재 및 등재 후보학술지에 게재된 총 212편의 논문을 연구시기, 연구주제, 연구방법(연구대상, 연구유형, 자료수집, 자료 분석)에 따라 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 빈도와 백분율이 사용되었다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 사고력 관련 연구는 1996년부터 시작하여 지속적으로 발표되었으며 2008년 이후 급증하였다. 둘째, 연구주제 면에서 유아 사고력 교육의 유형과 관련하여 창의적 사고를 다룬 연구가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 연구방법 면에서 유아중 만 5세를 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았으며, 연구유형은 양적연구 방법인 실험연구가 많았다. 본 연구를 통해 유아 사고력 교육 관련 연구의 진행 흐름을 파악할 수 있었으며, 연구 범위의 확대 및 활성화 방안 모색을 위한 논의와 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the research trends of thinking skills education in early childhood from previous studies published in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) or academic journals during 1996 and 2020. In accordance with classification standard (the date of the study, research topics, types of thinking skills, and research methods including subjects, types of data collection, and analysis), 212 studies were selected and analyzed. The results of the study revealed several findings. First, research on thinking skills in early childhood in South Korea began in 1996 and has rapidly increased since 2008. Second, among various types of thinking skills, “creative thinking” was the most frequently dealt with. Third, participants of the studies were mainly focused on five-year-olds, and most of the studies were designed as quantitative research. Frequency and percentage were used for data analysis. Based on the findings, this study provides some implications for further study.
