영문 초록

Korea`s performance of a high sustainable, absorption economic growth in procedure of industrialization, during past 4 decades was estimated at an education investment variable to the contribution of empirical economic growth.(The East Asian Miracle 1993, Jang Chang Won 1995) Among graduates of university, gfaduates of sceince & technical engineering majors were employed by the manufacturing industry, orientaten to the export industry and played improtant role of industrial development, which performed high sustainable, absorption economic growth in Korea, as it is recognized currently. Nevertheless, recent social-economic value assessments of graduates of science & technical engineering colleges in Korea, is being sharply recognized as being lower than past. This trend of expanded recognition is becoming one major factors in the avoidance of science & technical engineering colleges. Under these social·economic structural circumstances, the avoidance in science & engineering colleges, will cause the national sustainable economic growth engine`s power to become hindered. It can interpreted as a red light in path of advancement, because the economic growth engine needs creativity and utilization of new technology and knowledge, in 21st century. The purpose of this empirical study is to help policy makers construct and to solve short and mid-long term policy issues, through suggesting of factor analyses and policy implications. To do this, authors developed questions academically based upon a published literature survey. HRD(human resource development) experts located in various sectors of D/B as well as KRIVET, constructed and participated in survey. Authors analyzed the results of the survey via the KRIVET home page. This study made efforts to find structural and min-long term reasoning factors of the avoidance in science and technical engineering colleges. This study approached 3 major factors: social·economic was lower in the recognition and assesment of science and technical engineering colleges, the problems of school education curricula/program in math and science and education market and labor market linking and signaled shortage within these results. Finally this study suggested basic policy issues and implications; based accordingly to the three major factors above.
