영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the participation of Korean enterprises in the programs for the transition from school-to-work and to find the specific interference points. Upon our research results, we explored some subjects for improvement in the future. The main findings are as follows: In general, industries passively participate in the programs for the transition from school-to-work. The enterprises` participation in work experience programs for students initiated by colleges or universities(20.1%) and the intern programs for graduates (16.6%) were comparatively busy. However, the participation in work experience programs supported by Ministry of Labor (5.4%) and the programs to experience in small and medium companies, supported by Small and Medium Business Administration (1.7%) was rare. The main interference points are shortage of systematic programs (41.1%)and a shortage of mentors to manage the students participating the programs. Out research shows that those following points are necessary to promote the transition from school to work. First, a strong will and partnership among administration, industries, and schools should be formulated. Second, the effective programs for industries and students have to be developed. Third, the expose and the mentors necessary for the school-to-work transition programs need to be supported by government.
