『舍利靈應記』 재검토 - 편찬자와 특징을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

1448년(세종30) 文昭殿 옆에 건립한 佛堂의 落成을 기념하여 행한 慶讚會에 대해 기록한 『舍利靈應記』는 金守溫이 저자로 알려져 있고, 금속활자인 初鑄 甲寅字로 인쇄한 조선 초기의 불교 전적이다. 『사리영응기』는 김수온의 문집인 『拭疣集』에도 동일한 제목으로 수록되어 있으나 규모와 내용 면에서 매우 다른 기록이다. 『사리영응기』에는 경찬회를 주도한 승려의 명단, 信眉와 김수온의 공동 저작으로경찬회의 절차를 모두 기록한 「三佛禮懺文」, 세종이 새로 작곡한 新聲 7곡의 제목과 그의 가사인 9개의 악장, 저자를 확정할 수 없는 경찬회의 발원문인 疏 2편, 법회 참석자 261명의 명단인 「精勤入場人名」이 小字雙行으로 수록되어 있는데, 이들은 『식우집』에는 없는 내용이다. 특히 「삼불예참문」은 법회의 의식 절차에 대한 일종의 의식집인데, 이는 비슷한 시기에 간행된 수륙재 의식집인 『法界聖凡水陸勝會修齋儀軌』, 『天地冥陽水陸齋儀纂要』 등이 명칭은 다르지만 수륙재 절차를 차례대로 기록하고 있는 것과 동일한 형태이다. 그러므로 『사리영응기』는 김수온의 저작이 아니라 문소전 불당 건설부터 경찬회까지의 일련의 과정에 관련된 기록을 모아 편찬한 전적이다. 불당은 유교적 추모 공간인 문소전에 짝하는 불교적 추모 공간이므로, 『사리영응기』는 불당에서 행하는 추모 의례의 전 과정을 기록하여 간행한 것이다. 이는 특정 의례의 진행을 위해 설치된 都監에 관련된 모든 내역을 담고 있는 조선 시대 관찬 의궤의 특징과 일치하는 것이다.

영문 초록

The Sariyeongeunggi, the record on the Gyengchanhoe(慶讚會) which was the ceremony for the completion of Buldang next to the Moonsojeon(文昭殿) in 1448, the author is known as Kim Suon and, was Buddhist materials in the early Joseon, which was printed in metal type for the kapin font. The Sariyeongeunggi was included in the Sigu chip, Collected Works of Kim Suon in the same title, but was very different in scale and content. The Sariyeongeunggi and the Sigu chip were the same record on the establishment of Buldang and the process of the Gyengchanhoe, but the former contained the list of leading Buddhist monks, the Sambulyechammun(三佛禮懺文) writing the whole process of the ceremony, the titles and contents of the Akjang(樂章) which were composed by King Sejong, the two votive inscriptions(疏) on the ceremony, and the attendance list. but there were no such records in the latter. Especially, the Sambulyechammun was the record of the ritual procedure in Buddhist ceremony, and the Suryuk Uiryemun(水陸儀禮文) of Beopgye Seongbeom Suryuk Seunghwe Sujae Uigwe(『法界聖凡水陸勝會修齋儀軌』) and the Chunji Myungyang Suryuk Saeui Chanyo(『天地冥陽水陸齋儀纂要』) which was published around the same time was the different name from the former but was written the procedure of the Suryuk in regular sequence. Therefore, the Sariyeongeunggi is very same as the general form of Uigwe(儀軌) in regard of the processes, the persons in charge of the ceremony, and the ritual procedures.
