국문 초록

메타인지는 학습자들의 학문적 성취에 중요한 요소이며, 고정된 특징이 아니라 학습이나 훈련을 통해 향상시킬 수 있는 능력이라고 선행연구들에 의해 밝혀지고 있다. 그러므로 교육자들은 학습자들이 메타인지를 학습에서 능동적이며 지속적으로 적용할 수 잇도록 계획해야 한다. 즉, 교육현장에서 학습자의 학업성취도를 높이고 인지활동을 활성화시키기 위해 학습자가 가지고 있는 메타인지의 지식적 측면과 통제적 측면, 그리고 정서적 측면을 적극적으로 활용하도록 교육방법을 변환시킬 필요가 있다. 그러기 위해 교사들은 적극적으로 그들의 교육과정에 메타인지를 활용하고 통합하도록 노력해야 할 것이다. 앞으로 메타인지와 관련하여 정확하고 구체적인 뇌 과학적 연구들이 더 많이 나와서 전두엽과 메타인지의 관련성, 그리고 메타인지 활용 시 뇌 과학적 기제에 대해 더욱 명확하게 밝혀주는 연구가 계속 되어야 할 것이다. 더 나아가 교육현장에 실용적인 적극적인 메타인지 활용을 위한 교수-학습에의 적용 연구와, 구체적인 프로그램 개발도 계속되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Metacognition is an important factor in the academic achievement of learners, and it is revealed by previous researches that it is not the fixed feature but the ability to improve through learning or training. Therefore, educators should plan for learners to be able to apply metacognition proactively and continuously in learning. In other words, it is necessary to transform the education method so that the learner s knowledge, control, and emotional aspects of the meta - cognition are positively utilized in order to enhance the learner s academic achievement and activate the cognitive activities. To do so, teachers should actively seek to integrate and integrate metacognition in their curriculum. In the future, more accurate and detailed brain science studies on meta-cognition will be made, and the relevance of the frontal lobe to the metacognition, and research that clarifies the brain science mechanism when using meta-cognition, should be continued. In addition, research on application of teaching-learning for practical use of meta-cognition in practice and concrete program development should be continued.
