농촌 독거 여성노인의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 질병과 스트레스가 가중되어 있고 무력감, 소외, 우울 등의 심리적 상태에 있는 농촌의 독거여성 노인들의 미술치료 활동의 경험을 통해서 이들의 심층적인 삶의 이해를 돕고자 하며 미술치료 활동 경험의 의 미가 무엇인가를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 충청남도 A시의 B면 C리에 거주하고 있는 70대 ~ 80대의 독거여성 노인 3명이다. 2015년 12월에서 2016년 4월까지 초기면담을 포함하여 7회기의 면담을 하였으며, 필요 에 따라서 전화 및 방문도 실시하였다. 회기마다 1시간~1시간 30분정도의 치료활동을 하였으며, 이 과정에 심 층적인 면담이 이루어졌다. 그 결과 미술치료활동은 농촌 독거여성노인들에게 놀이와 배움을 경험하게 되어 배 우지 못한 지난 삶에 대한 보상의 욕구를 충족해주었으며, 자신의 삶에 대한 관찰로 현재의 자신을 통찰하여 자아통합의 효과를 갖게 되었다. 또한 미술활동 자체가 생활에 즐거움을 주며 사회활동의 경험으로 받아들여 생활의 활력을 얻게 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to help to understand the in-depth lives of women living alone in rural areas who suffer from disease and stress as well as mental health problems elevated from a sense of helplessness, alienation, and depression and to try to find out what the meaning of their art therapy experience is. The subjects of this study were three female solitary senior citizens in their 70s and 80s who reside in A City in South Chungcheong Province. Seven in-person interviews including the initial interview were conducted from December 2015 through April 2016 and there were also phone interviews and visits as needed. Each session had 60 to 90 minutes of art therapy. In-depth interviews were conducted during these sessions. Asaresult, the arttherapy appeared to help the female solitary senior citizens experience the joy of learning and play and meet their desire to experience certain rewards from their unfulfilled past lives. It also had the effect of ego integration by giving them insights into their present selves. In addition, drawing and crafting activities themselves provided pleasure to the female solitary senior citizens' lives and gave them a sense of vitality in their life because they accepted their experiences in the social activities.
