국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 동물상징 성격검사(ASPT)의 결과에 대한 빅데이터 분석을 통해 최근 청년대학생들의 성격유형을 살펴보아 이들에 대한 심리적 이해도를 높이는 것이다. 동물상징 성격검사(ASPT) 검사 결과지 30개의 보유데이터에 대하여 빅데이터 분석 프로그램인 ‘텍스톰(TEXTOM)’을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 최근 청년대학생들의 성격유형은 ‘주도/통제’의 성격유형, ‘경계/방어’ 성격유형, 적응/수동 성격유형, ‘지킴/수호’ 성격유형 그리고 ‘자유/산만’ 성격유형으로 나타났다. 그리고 이 중 가장 우세한 성격유형은 ‘주도/통제’ 성격유형이다. 최근 대학생들은 기본적으로 ‘힘’과 ‘주도성’에 대한 욕구가 있는 것으로 보인다. 즉 자신의 삶의 영역을 통제하기 원하고 있으며, 타인의 간섭에 지극히 경계하고 방어하는 독립적 성향이 강하다. 반면 다수에게서 ‘적응/수동’의 상반된 성격의 유형이 공존하고 있음이 나타났다. ‘주도/통제’ 성격과 정반대인 ‘적응/수동’ 성격으로 대학생들의 성격이 양극화되어 나타나고 있다. ‘주도성’과 ‘순응성’의 이 양극화된 성격들 가운데, ‘개’로 표현되는 ‘책임감’ 성격과 ‘고양이’로 대변되는 ‘자유’의 성격이 또 다른 양극화를 이루고 있다. 이 연구의 의의는 최근 대학생들의 성격이 ‘주도성’ 과 ‘순응성’ 그리고 ‘자유’와 ‘책임’의 양극화된 성향을 밝혔다는 점이다. 추후 대학생들의 양극화된 성격유형의 의미에 대한 논의가 진행될 수 있는 초기단계 연구로서의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Using the big data analysis program ‘TEXTOM,’ the personality types of recent college students were analyzed based on the results of the Animal Symbol Personality Type (ASPT) test, which included data from 30 individuals. The analysis revealed that the predominant personality types among these students are ‘Dominant/Controlling,’ ‘Boundary/Defensive,’ ‘Adaptive/Passive,’ ‘Protective/Guardian,’ and ‘Free/Sporadic.’ Among these types, the ‘Dominant/Controlling’ personality type emerged as the most dominant. Recent college students seem to possess a desire for ‘power’ and ‘assertiveness’ as fundamental traits. In essence, they strive to control their own lives and exhibit a strong independent tendency, while being highly cautious and defensive against interference from others. Conversely, a contrasting personality type of ‘Adaptive/Passive’ coexists in the majority. The polarization of personalities between ‘Dominant/Controlling’ and ‘Adaptive/Passive’ is evident among college students. Within this polarized spectrum of ‘assertiveness’ and ‘compliance,’ another polarization is observed between the ‘responsibility’ personality, represented by a ‘dog,’ and the ‘freedom’ personality, symbolized by a ‘cat.’ The significance of this study lies in revealing the polarization of personalities among recent college students, characterized by the dichotomy between ‘assertiveness’ and ‘compliance,’ as well as ‘freedom’ and ‘responsibility.’ This study serves as an initial exploration for further discussion on the implications of polarized personality types among youth in the future.
