대졸 취업준비 청년의 문제해결 인형치료 사례연구 - ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 스토리텔링을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 인형 상징체계 중에서도 은유와 상징을 활용한 문제해결 인형치료 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 프로그램을 적용하여, 대졸 취업준비 청년의 심리적 진단과 치료를 진행한 사례연구이다. 연구 참여자는 24세-31세 사이의 대학을 졸업하고 취업을 준비 중인 남녀 청년 5명이며, 의도적 표본추출과 눈덩이 표집방법을 혼합 사용하여 선정하였다. 연구 참여자들은 개별 단기상담 또는 개별 장기상담 도중에 내담자의 동의를 거쳐 1회기 50분을 기준으로 2회기에 걸쳐, 인형카드나 동물인형을 사용해 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 속 구조화 된 21가지 질문에 답을 하는 방식으로 프로그램에 참여하였다. 문제해결 인형치료 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 스토리텔링 속 경쟁, 도전, 문제해결 및 보상의 4단계 구조에 따라 분석한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청년들은 양치기 개로 선택받으려는 개들과 취업 현장에서 선택받으려는 자신의 모습을 동일시하는 모습을 보였다. 둘째, 청년들은 자신이 속한 조직을 지키기 위해 늑대의 침략에는 적극적으로 대응하고 협력을 통해 전략을 세우고 대응하려 하였으나, 양치기로부터 적절한 보상을 받지 못하거나 억울하게 책망받게 되는 상황에서는 조직을 떠나려는 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 청년들은 실업 상황에서 벗어나 선택받고 소속감을 갖고자 하는 욕구가 있다. 그러나, 조직 내에서 과중한 책임을 지는 역할을 맡는 것은 부담스러워하였는데, 이는 취업 경험와 구직이 반복되는 상황에서 형성된 부정적 정서로 인한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 문제해결 인형치료 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 스토리텔링 프로그램은, 이 같은 대졸 취업준비 청년들의 특성을 파악하고 이들의 사회관계 속 문제해결력을 향상하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study is a case study of psychological diagnosis and treatment of young adults preparing for college graduate employment by applying a 'Protect the Sheep' problem-solving figure therapy program using metaphors and symbols within the figure symbol system. The study participants were 5 young adults aged 24-31. They participated in the program by answering 21 questions about “Protect the Sheep” with a counselor using doll cards or figures. While manipulating doll cards and figures, she conceived and expressed her way of thinking, regressive behavior, coping with problems and conflict situations, problem solving methods, and resolution strategies. Their responses were analyzed according to a four-level structure of competition, challenge, problem solving, and reward. First of the research results, young people equated themselves with dogs who wanted to be chosen as shepherds with those who wanted to be chosen at the job site. Second, in order to protect the organization they belong to, young people actively responded to wolf aggression and tried to establish strategies and respond through cooperation, but they showed a tendency to leave the organization in situations where they did not receive proper compensation from shepherds or were disgraced. Third, although young people have a desire to be selected and have a sense of belonging when they are away from the job site, they feel burdened by heavy responsibilities within the organization, and it has been shown that their self-esteem is somewhat low due to negative feelings caused by repeated failures. “Protect the Sheep” storytelling is expected to help identify the characteristics of young people preparing for employment and improve their problem-solving skills.
