치매선별도구로서 얼굴자극평가(FSA)의 활용가능성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 얼굴자극평가(FSA)가 치매선별도구로서 활용 가능성이 있는지 알아보기 위하여 치매유무에 따른 FSA의 반응특성을 비교 분석하였다. 연구대상은 65세 이상의 치매환자로 진단받은 노인 74명, 일반노인 91명으 로 총 165명이었다. 검사도구는 FSA와 K-MMSE를 사용하였으며, 빈도, 백분율, t-검증, 교차분석과 판별분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, FSA 그림 1, 2의 전체점수는 치매유무에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있 었으며, 일반노인이 치매노인보다 점수가 높았다. 둘째, FSA 그림 1의 하위영역에서는 머리, 얼굴, 코, 귀, 입, 목, 목둘레, 옷, 사용한 색의 수에서 차이가 있었다. FSA 그림 2의 하위영역에서는 머리, 얼굴, 눈, 코, 입, 귀, 목둘레, 옷, 눈, 코, 입의 조화와 왜곡, 사용한 색의 수에서 차이가 있었다. 즉 치매노인은 일반노인보다 얼굴 형 태를 인지하는데 결핍을 보였고, 사용한 색의 수가 적고 내용과 관련이 없는 색상을 사용하는 경향이 있었으며, 눈, 코, 입의 배치가 조화롭지 못하고 왜곡된 표현들이 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통하여 FSA는 치매선별도구로 서 활용할 수 있는 가능성이 확인되었다. 그러나 FSA에 대한 연구는 평가기준의 수정 보완과 함께 지속적인 연구를 통하여 그 결과를 밝힐 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to compare and analyze the response characteristics of the FSA depending on the presence or absence of dementia in order to determine whether the FSA can be used as a screening tool for dementia. The participants of this study were 74 older adults with dementia and 91 normative older adults. The FSA and K-MMSE were used as the test tools, and frequency, percentage, the t-test, crosstab analysis and discriminant analysis were performed. The results of the study are as follows. First, the normative older adult had higher scores than the older adults with dementia. Second, for the FSA Drawing 1, differences in the hair, face, nose, ears, mouth, neck, neckline, clothes, and the number of the colors used were observed. For the FSA Drawing 2, there were differences in the hair, face, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, neckline, clothing, the harmony and distortion of eyes, nose and mouth and the number of the colors used. In other words, the older adults with dementia showed a deficiency in the recognition of facial forms compared to the group of the normative older adults had a tendency to use a smaller number of colors and irrelevant colors, and showed unharmonious layouts and distorted representations of the eyes, nose, and mouth. These results confirmed that the FSA has the potential to be used as a screening tool for dementia. However, it is necessary to investigate and clarify the results through continuous research.
