조부모의 양육스트레스와 사회적 지지가 양육행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 조손가족의 조부모가 손자녀를 양육하면서 받는 양육스트레스가 부정적 양육행동에 미치는 영향에 대해 지역아동센터 서비스 만족도가 어떻게 부정적 양육행동을 중재하는 가를 살펴봄으로써 조부모의 부정적인 양육행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 손자녀를 양육하고 있으면서 자신을 조손가족이라고 응답한 조부모 211명을 대상으로 한 조사결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 조부모의 양육스트레스는 부정적 양육행동을 높이는데 특히 부모역할에 대한 스트레스 변인은 방임과 같은 부정적인 양육행동을 가장 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 조부모의 부정적 양육행동을 하위변인별로 나누어 분석한 결과 지역아동센터 서비스는 조부모의 의료적 방임을 낮추는 식으로 조손가족의 사회적 지지로 기능함이 부분적으로 증명되었다. 또한 조손가족에 대한 지역아동센터의 사회적 지지를 지지원과 지지내용으로 구분하였을 때 대체적으로 지지내용인 보호나 학습, 문화 서비스 등에는 만족하였으나 지역아동센터를 통한 친구관계나 대인관계 등에는 덜 만족하는 것은 지역아동센터가 서비스 내용에 대한 지원뿐 아니라 이용아동이 센터내에서 맺는 인간관계적 측면에 대한 관심 또한 이루어져야 함을 나타낸다 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parenting stress and social support on the parenting behavior of grandparents with grandchildren attending a community child care center. This study used raw data offered by the Corporation Leftovers Love Sharing Community, and 211 grandparents who were head of the family were analyzed. SPSS 14.0 for Windows was used to analyze data for frequency analysis and multiple regression analysis. The parenting stress of grandparents increased the negative parenting behavior. The stress from undertaking the parents' role was the most serious, so it is necessary to draw up plans to diminish this kind of stress for the grandparents. The result of the multiple regression analysis indicated that the stress from undertaking the parents' role and satisfaction with friends’ relationship service provided by the community child care center for the children were significant factors on negative parenting behavior. Therefore, it was partially demonstrated that social support is an intervention between parenting stress and negative parenting behavior. The parenting stress of grandparents has a significant effect on the education, and the moral and medical daily life of child neglect. These findings indicate that service by the community child care center is a particularly important social support for grandparents with grandchildren attending the centers and that effective measures for grandparents need to alleviate parenting stress and negative parenting behavior.
