발달장애 성인자녀를 둔 부모의 평생계획 경험

국문 초록

본 연구는 발달장애 성인자녀를 둔 부모 8명의 평생계획 설계와 실천에 관한 경험이 어떠한지 살펴봄으로써, 보호자 관점에서 평생계획 지원 경험이 갖는 의미와 발달장애인 평생계획 지원서비스에 대한 기대를 탐색하였다. 분석 결과 4개의 주제 묶음과 13개의 주제가 도출되었다. 첫째, 평생계획 설계는 ‘주거계획’, ‘경제계획’, ‘법적계획’으로 나누어진다. 둘째, 평생계획 실천은 ‘일상생활훈련’, ‘금전관리’, ‘구직활동 및 직업교육’이다. 셋째, 평생계획 실천의 어려움은 ‘공급자 중심 서비스’, ‘외부의 편견’, ‘내부의 두려움’이며, 넷째, 평생계획 실천에 도움됨은 ‘자조모임’, ‘통합교육’, ‘장애인활동지원서비스’, ‘주간활동서비스’이다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 발달장애 성인자녀를 둔 부모의 평생계획 지원를 확대하기 위해 지속적이고 안정적인 서비스 활성화 방안 및 정책적 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored the meaning of permanency plan from the perspective of guardians and expectations for permanency plan support services for the developmentally disabled by examining the experiences of eight parents with adult children with developmental disabilities in designing and implementing permanency plan. As a result of the analysis, 4 topic bundles and 13 topics were derived. First, permanency plan design is divided into 'residential plan', 'economic plan', and 'legal plan'. Second, permanency plan implementation is 'daily life training', 'money management', and 'job activities and vocational education'. Third, the difficulties in implementing lifelong plan are 'supplier-centered service', 'external prejudice', and 'internal fear', and fourth, 'self-help group', 'integrated education', 'activity support service for the disabled', and 'weekly activity service' are helpful in implementing permanency plan. Based on the research results, continuous and stable service activation plans and policy suggestions were made to expand support for permanency plan for parents with adult children with developmental disabilities.
