국문 초록

<쌍렬옥소삼봉>은 18세기에 창작된 고소설로 明나라 太祖-建文帝-永樂帝대를 역사적 배경으로 하고 있다. <쌍렬옥소삼봉>은 단순히 관습적 배경으로 중국 역사를 수용한 것이 아니라 명나라 제위찬탈사건에 관한 특별한 관심을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 제위찬탈사건은 역사적 배경으로 등장하는 것이 아니라, 작품 전체를 이끌어가는 중심 갈등 요인이다. 명 태조대의 혁혁한 개국공신 가문이었던 위씨 가문이 연왕의 반정을 겪으며 충절문제로 갈등하다가 완전히 세상과 결별하게 되는 과정에서 제위찬탈사건은 작품을 이끌어가는 동인이다. <쌍렬옥소삼봉>의 내용을 《明史》와 비교할 때, 실제 역사적 사건과 인물들이 작품 속에 등장하지만 주인공 위명이 속한 위씨 가문은 허구로 설정된 것이고, 연왕과 위명의 지속적인 갈등관계도 허구적으로 재창조된 이야기이다. 이 작품이 실제 역사적 사건인 연왕의 제위찬탈을 수용한 요인 중에는 세조의 왕위찬탈이라는 유사한 역사적 경험이 작용했다고 본다. <쌍렬옥소삼봉>의 작자는 《明史》를 사실적으로 재현하기 보다는 흥미를 끄는 소재인 제위찬탈사건을 끌어와 작가의 의도에 맞게 허구화시켰다. <쌍렬옥소삼봉>은 연왕의 제위찬탈문제를 어떻게 받아들일 것인가를 두고 군신, 부자간에 갈등하고 논쟁한다. 이를 통해 임금에 대한 충절과 가문창달이라는 사대부의 중요한 가치 중 어느 것을 우위에 둘 것이냐 하는 문제를 제기하고 있다. <쌍렬옥소삼봉>은 유사한 역사적 경험에 대한 흥미를 기반으로 명나라 제위찬탈사건을 수용하여 정통론적 충절의식을 드러내는 데에 중점을 둔 작품이다.

영문 초록

This paper aims at recognizing the literary acceptance of chinese history in . As the time background of is just a part of history, we check the historical facts appearing in the novel. is also unique in the fact that was it based on 《Mingsa》, the authentic historical record. is a work which describes the Ming dynasty under the Youngrakje's rule. This work generally referred to the record of 《mingsa》 when it was centering on the informations about characters and incidents. On the other hand, the relationship among Youngrakje was changing or expanding on the basis of historical record. In loyalty to Youngrakje was refused and loyalty to Youngrakje performed its functions one of the description-consciousness. From , we can find the positive acceptance of chinese history and also the conflict between Youngrakje and Wimyeong. The writer is trying to explain the reason for the historical facts why Youngrakje was refused by Wimyeong. This content filled in a blank of the historical record with the writer's extreme imagination. Though the historical facts are mentioned in fragments, we can find out that the author not only has deep knowledge of the history of Ming, but also in aware of chinse novel. This showed us a unique result of the fusion between a Chinese history which continued since the end of 17th century and our own tradition of novel.
