충북지역 대학생들의 표준발음에 대한 실태 분석

국문 초록

본고의 목적은 현재 충북지역에 거주하는 대학생들 사이의 표준 발음에 대한 실상에 관하여 분석함으로써 오늘날의 표준발음이 어떻게 발음되고 있는가를 밝혀보고자 하는 것이다. 우리 국어 생활에서 규범으로서의 위치를 굳혀 가고 있는 표준발음법은 표준어에 토대를 두고 있다. 따라서 표준어 화자들의 현실 발음에 대한 관찰이 뒷받침되어야 한다. 『한국어문규정집』은 ‘한글맞춤법, 표준어규정, 표준발음법, 외래어표기법, 로마자표기법’ 등으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구는 그중 표준어규정 제2부의 ‘표준발음법’에 대한 대학생들의 인식이 어느 정도인지를 알아보고자 한다. 설문조사는 충북지역 A대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 200명을 대상으로 하였고, 총 55개 항목을 표준발음과 비표준발음으로 나누어 선택하게 하였다. 그중 20개 항목만을 선정하여 논의하였다. 배포된 설문지는 총 220매였고, 그 가운데 200명의 응답자를 얻었다. 본고는 글쓴이가 현재 표준발음의 일단을 살펴보고자 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그것을 분석하고, 조사결과는 국어교육을 하기 위한 올바른 발음 교육에도 일조가 될 것으로 믿기 때문이다.

영문 초록

The aim of the thesis is to study how university students know the recognition for the standard pronunciation based on ‘The Standard Pronunciation Way’ in Korean rule book, and to show the correct schema throughout the standard pronunciation way according to the result. The conclusion made is as follows. First, that the length of a sound is pronounced classifying the long and the short for the vowel, but the long-drawn sound is pronounced only in the first syllable comes under article 6 and article 7. The a percentage of correct answers is (1) 64%, (2) 59%, (3) 76%, (4) 59% and the average rate is 64%. Secondly, that the pronunciation of the final consonants on the end of a Korean orthographic syllable is pronounced only with 7 consonants ‘ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ, ㅇ’, comes under from article 8 to article 16. The a percentage of correct answers is (5) 88%, (6) 87%, (7) 30%, (8) 47%, (9) 69% and the average rate is 64%. Third, that the sound assimilation happens when voices are connected each other, and either one side or both sides is influenced to change similar sound comes under from article 17 to article 22. The a percentage of correct answers is (10) 91%, (11) 82%, (12) 49%, (13) 79%, (14) 82% and the average is 77%. Fourthly, that the fortis is the phenomenon that yesasoli is changed into doensoli comes under from 23 article to article 28. The a percentage of correct answers is (15) 70%, (16) 65%, (17) 86%, (18) 82% and the average is 76%. Finally, that the sound addition happens adding ‘ㄴ’ sound pronounced as ‘ni, nya, nyeo, nyo, nyu’ and the words clinging to sa-isi-os in case the end of a front word or the prefix is a consonant and a back word or the first syllable of the suffix is ‘i, ya, yeo, yo, yu’ comes under article 29, and article 30. The a percentage of correct answers is (19) 73%, (20) 66%, (21) 83% and the average is 74%. Based on the standard pronunciation rule, the result is analysed for the length of a sound, the pronunciation of the final consonants on the end of a Korean orthographic syllable, the sound assimilation, the fortis, and the sound addition throughout the questionnaire to university students. As a result, the practice and education for the standard pronunciation must be conducted steadily, it is necessary to lead the students to use a Korean dictionary.
