재만조선인 심연수 시의 디아스포라 문학 특성 연구

국문 초록

이 논문은 일제 강점기 재만 조선시인 심연수의 시를 디아스포라 문학의 관점에서 접근하여, 그의 시가 지니는 본질적 특성을 보다 구체적으로 파악하기 위해 작성된 것이다. 2000년 『20세기 중국조선족문학사료전집』 제1집에 심연수의 문학편이 수록됨으로써 그의 시는 널리 알려지게 되었다. 그래서 이후 그는 중국조선족문학사에서뿐만 아니라 한국문학사에서도 주요 시인 중의 한 사람으로 언급되기에 이르렀다. 그런데 지금까지 그에 관한 논의에서는 대체로 당시 그의 생애 및 작품 창작 시기에 대한 좀 더 실증적 검토가 등한시된 상태에서 현재의 시점에 치중하여 그의 시를 살펴봄으로써, 그 특질이 단편적으로 파악되는 것이 사실이었다. 민족시인 또는 저항시인으로서의 한 특성만이 지나치게 강조될 수 있었던 것이다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 본고에서는 기존의 연구 성과를 바탕으로 하되, 당시 우리 민족사와 관련하여 그의 개인사적 측면의 이국 체험이 작품에 어떻게 반영되어 나타나는가를 통시적인 측면에서 고찰하고자 하였다. 그의 시에서 디아스포라 문학으로서의 특질이 어떻게 나타나는가를 총체적으로 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 이렇게 볼 때 그의 디아스포라로서의 삶은, 전 생애에 걸친 생존의 조건이자 시 창작의 바탕이 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 일제 강점의 시대 상황에서 고국을 떠나 만주․일본 등지에서 유이민으로서의 빈궁한 삶을 살아갈 수밖에 없었지만, 이에 굴하거나 타협하지 않고 나름대로의 성장된 역사의식을 바탕으로 새로운 미래가 전개될 것에 대한 희망을 밝혀준 그의 시적 성과는, 중국조선족문학사에서뿐만 한국문학사에서도 실로 값진 것임이, 보다 극명하게 파악될 수 있었던 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper is to approach, from the viewpoint of diaspora literature, the poems of Shim Yeon-su who was a Chosun poet in Manchuria under Japanese Imperialism and make out to understand his poems with the essential characteristics in more detail. In the year of 2000, his poems have widely been known as containing Shim Yeon-su’s literature of volume I in Historical Collections of Literature on Ethnic Koreans Living in China in 20th Century. After that he has had a discussion about one of the great poems and not only in the literature history of ethnic Koreans living in China but also Korean history of literature. However, the discussion with Shim concerning his life and the period of composing poems paid little attention to much provener review by the current state of things, and in looking into his works it was true for the quality of his poems to be grasped fragmentarily. As a national poet or resistance poet, he has excessively emphasized until now. In such a same context, this copy is based on an existing research result, however, his experiences of a foreign land from his personal history try to give consideration to reflect what his works were like from a diachronic angle. Its features in his poems as a diaspora literature is to examine what his poems were like in a generally. His life like the diaspora had been identified with qualification for survival and the basis for composing poems through his life. Under Japanese Imperialism, he fled his country and lived a life of poverty as a nomad in Manchuria and Japan so and on. However, he did not make a compromise with a difficult situation at all. Also, his poetic outcome showing a bright future and a good hope on the basis of his developed view of history with his way of thinking is of great value in the history of literature of the ethnic Koreans living in China as well as Korean history of literature. And it could be understood more obviously.
