가치탐구활동으로서의 소설교육

국문 초록

허구서사로서의 소설이 그 교육적 의의를 표명하고 학습자의 삶과 맞닿기 위해서는 소설수용이 갖는 윤리적 가능성이 해명되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본고는 소설수용이 학습자에게 가치탐구활동을 촉발하는 다층적 텍스트임을 밝히고자 하였다. 상황윤리와 도덕적 상상력에 대한 강조는 소설의 윤리성을 재인식하게 하였지만, 소설의 형상성과 독자의 윤리성의 연관 관계는 여전히 문제로 남아있었다. 본고에서는 소설의 다층성이 독자의 가치탐구활동을 촉발한다고 보고 이러한 다층적 층위가 독자의 가치탐구활동을 추동하는 과정을 중심으로 논의를 전개하였다. 이청준의 「쓰여지지 않은 자서전」을 주된 텍스트로 하여 텍스트의 이야기 층위, 담론 층위, 맥락 층위의 가치소가 상호연관되면서 독자의 가치탐구활동을 유도함을 밝혔다. 이야기 층위의 가치소로는 분열적 주체, 원체험의 반복과 변주, 알레고리적 공간 등의 설정이 분석되었다. 담론 층위의 가치소로는 선고와 진술의 담론 구조, 내적 발화의 나열, 일기 형식과 열린 결말 등의 설정이 분석되었다. 맥락 층위의 가치소로는 대타자에 의한 억압, 세대의식의 증언, 반역으로서의 쓰기 등의 설정이 분석되었다. 이를 바탕으로 가치탐구활동으로서의 소설교육은 소설텍스트의 가치소가 학습독자의 수용을 통해 활성화되는 과정 중심으로 구성되어야 하며, 텍스트 속에서 일어나는 가치문제를 분유하고 상상적 추론을 통해 대안을 생성하는 학습자의 능동적 활동 중심으로 설계되어야 함을 밝혔다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to explain the possibility of novel reception. Because it is very critical to connect between the novel reception and reader's real life. For this purpose, this study try to show that novel is multilayered text encouraging the value inquiry activity of students. In this process, value inquiry activity emerges as an important issue. Emphasis about contextual ethics and moral imagination let us recognize narrative ethics. But correlation of novel's special form with ethics did not get satisfactory attention. This study discussed that reader's value inquiry activity is closely related to the novel's multilayered form that assume shakes a fixed and indoctrinated value system. By looking into the written by Lee Chung jun, we discovered that the value inquiry activity of the reader are derived from the relation between three levels, that is the story level, discourse level and context level. In the story level, we analyzed disunited subject, repetition and variation of the original experience and the set of the allegorical space. We studied the discourse structure of sentence and the statement, array of internal speech, diary type and end structure which is opened in the discourse level. In the last one, the context level, we analyzed the suppression of The Other, the testimony of generation consciousness and the writing as rebellion. With these analysis, we figured out that the realization of the value inquiry activity in the novel education is required to organized in the relationship of form of the novel-three levels, that is the story level, discourse level and context level- and value inquiry activity. Furthermore, the realization of novel education should contain the voluntary activity of student through sharing the value problem in the text and using imaginary reasoning.
