국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 다문화 시대에 적합한 화법교육의 방향성을 제시하는 것이다. 우리나라가 다문화 사회로 빠르게 접어들면서 여기에 맞는 국어교육 각 영역의 변화를 모색해야 하는데, 화법은 의사소통의 기본인 만큼 그 시작이라 할 수 있다. 화법교육의 방향성을 살피기 위해 우선 다문화교육의 특성을 파악하고 이를 화법교육과 접목시켜 교육과정이 지향할 바를 제시하였다. 특히 다문화 시대에 맞는 화법교육의 핵심역량이 무엇인지 선정하고 이를 실현하기 위한 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 첫째, 상호문화성을 지향하는 화법교육이 되어야 한다. 이때 상호문화성은 문화교육과 생태학적 기반 위에서 가능하며 대화의 주체가 서로 변화하는 모습을 지향한다. 또한 인정과 배려를 기반으로 하는 화법교육이 중요하다는 점도 강조하였다. 대화 상대를 온전히 인정하는 속에서 바람직한 관계가 생성되며, 이러한 인정의 덕목이 배려로 전이될 수 있을 때 문화적 다수자와 소수자가 편견없이 대화할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to present the direction of discourse appropriate to the era of multicultural education. Korea is a rapidly changing multicultural society and need to seek a change in each area of Korean language education appropriate to the multicultural society. Speech education which is the basis of communication can start the change. In order to accomplish this research purpose, the following research questions are constructed, first identify the characteristics of multicultural education and by combining it with speech education proposed curriculum to be oriented. Especially, selected the core competencies of speech education appropriate to the multicultural society and discussed how to accomplish it. First, speech education should aim to the interculturality. At this time, the interculturality can be implemented based on the Ecological and Cultural Education. It aims to change with the subject of the conversation. It also emphasized the importance of speech education based on the acknowledgement and consideration. Fully acknowledging the other side of the conversation can create desirable relationship. When It can be connected into consideration, the cultural majority and the minority will be able to talk without prejudice.
