중고제 스토리텔링과 문화콘텐츠 활용 방안

국문 초록

본 논의는 경기, 충청지역을 중심으로 발달한 중고제 판소리를 지역문화로 활성 화하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 중고제 판소리가 왜 다시 소환되어야 하는가에 대한 의미와 문화콘텐츠 활용의 필요성을 역설하였다. 첫째, 문화콘텐츠 활용을 위해 가장 중요한 것이 스토리텔링이다. 중고제 판소리 의 경우 판소리의 초기 역사를 드러낼 수 있다는 점이 중요하다. 따라서 충남 지역의 문화를 이해하고 인물을 부각시키는 일이 필요하다. 이를 위해 18세기 최초의 명창 최선달을 중심으로 하여, 신광수, 유진한 등이 함께 스토리텔링되어야 함을 주장했다. 둘째, 중고제 관련 문화 유적 및 관광 인프라를 조성하는 것이 필요하다. 대표적인 사례로 최근 조사한 최선달 관련 유적 및 활용 방안을 제시하였다. 단순한 유적지 복원이 아니라, 현대사회의 트랜드에 맞는 다양한 인프라가 조성될 필요가 있다. 셋째, 중고제에 대한 인식 확산을 위해 다양한 문화콘텐츠로 교육하고 대중화해 야 한다. 지난 십여 년 동안 중고제 관련 사업은 매우 다방면으로 이루어져 왔고, 성과도 있었다. 하지만 대중에게 접근이 용이한 방송이나 미디어 등을 통해 쉽고 재미있게, 또는 신선하게 기획된 프로그램이 필요하다. 중고제는 이미 판소리를 넘어 충청지역의 문화정체성으로 자리매김하고 있다. 그 실체와 내용을 알리는 노력은 계속되어야 하고 옛것이 아닌 미래를 지향하는 관점에서 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

Pansori is a genre in which long stories are sung to the rhythm of drums. Pansori sung mainly in the Gyeonggi and Chungcheong regions is called Joonggoje. This study presents a plan to revitalize Joonggoje Pansori, which developed mainly in the Gyeonggi and Chungcheong regions, as a regional culture by discussing why Joonggoje should be resurrected and the necessity of utilizing cultural content. First, storytelling is the most important element preserving cultural content. In the case of Joonggoje pansori, recognizing the early history of pansori is crucial. Therefore, understanding the culture of the South Chungcheong region and its characters is necessary. Thus, we argue that the story should be told together with Shin Gwang-su, Yu Jin-han, and others and should focus on Choi Seon-dal, the first master singer of the 18th century. Second, developing a cultural heritage and tourism infrastructure related to Joonggoje is necessary. As a representative example, we presented the recently investigated relics related to Choi sundal and ways to utilize them. Rather than simply restoring historical sites, building various infrastructures that align with modern trends is also essential. Third, we must educate people on and popularize Joonggoje pansori through various cultural contents to spread awareness. Over the past ten years, We have worked to spread Joonggoje pansori in various fields However, easy, fun, innovative, and accessible planned programs through broadcasting and media are required. Joonggoje has already been established as a cultural identity of the Chungcheong region beyond Pansori. Efforts to publicize its reality and content must continue and focus on the future, not the past.
