공항 내 근로자의 안전 의식, 응급상황 인식 및 응급상황 대처 능력에 관한 연구

국문 초록

객실 내에서는 응급상황 발생했을 때를 대비해서 객실 승무원들은 법적으로 응급처치 교육을 받아야 하고 의학적 상황에 대비하여 비치된 안내서에 따라 응급 상황 대처, 응급처치 및 지침 등에 대해 대처할 수 있다. 하지만 탑승객 외에도 공항 내 시설 이용자, 식사, 쇼핑 등 다수의 사람들이 이용하는 공항 내에서는 응급 상황 시 공항 내 근로자 누구든지 그 상황을 대처해야 한다, 2020년 1월 이후에는 전 세계 팬더믹 상황인 COVID-19로 인해 객실 및 공항 내에서 감염관리에 대해 더욱 대처를 해야 하는 상황이다. 공항 내 근로자들은 각 근무처(부서)마다 작성되어 있는 간단한 안전 매뉴얼로 다양한 환자 상황에 대해 대처하고는 있으나 관련 교육은 많이 이루어지지는 않고 있다. 공항 내 근로자는 별도의 법정 교육 시간이 주어지지 않는다. 최초 반응자로서 현장에서 제일 처음 환자를 접할 수 있는 공항 내 근로자들의 안전의식과 응급상황에 대한 인식 및 대처능력에 대한 내용을 파악하고자 시도하였다. 공항 내 근로자 업무 특성을 고려하여 설문 내용을 수정 개발하였으며 안전보건 교육, 응급 상황 인식 정도, 응급 상황 대처 능력으로 구성하여 대상자들의 응답을 ‘예’와 ‘아니요’로 간편하게 답변할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 공항 내 근로자에게 구글 설문을 사용할 수 있도록 접속방법을 설명했으며 설문에 동의한 129명의 대상자가 응답하였다. 2020년 12월부터 2021년 1월까지의 설문 조사로 이루어졌으며, 안전에 대한 인식 정도의 특성을 파악하기 위해 SPSS/WIN 18.0을 이용한 빈도 분석하였다. 공항 내 근로자의 안전보건교육 ‘있다’ 125명(96.9%)로 공항 측에서 안전교육을 실시하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 응급처치 경험이 있는 경우는 118명(91.5%)로 높게 나타났으며 최초 반응자로서 환자 발생 시 응급처치에 대한 경험들이 다수 있음을 나타냈다. 응급처치교육 내용으로는 54명(41.9%)이 기본소생술(심폐소생술, 자동제세동기) 내용으로 교육을 많이 받았고, 내과적 상황, 외과적 상황 등에서도 교육 내용을 받았다라고 나타냈다. 응급상황 인식 정도로는 현장평가(현장안전)에 대한 4가지 질문에서 전체적으로 인식이 높게 나타났으며, 의식평가·기도평가·호흡평가에서도 전체적으로 인식이 높게 나타났다. 응급상황 대처 능력은 실제 실습을 적용할 수 없어서 총 7가지 환자 사례를 제시하고 각 사례별로 질문 문항을 작성하여 응답하도록 했다. 화상사례 · 내과사례 · 심정지사례에 대해서는 잘 인지하고 있음을 나타냈으나, 호흡응급사례 · 외상사례 · 환경응급사례 및 기타응급사례에서는 정확하게 인지하지 못함을 나타냈다. 본 연구 결과에서는 공항 내 근로자들의 안전의식, 응급상황 인식정도는 잘 인지하고 높게 나타났으나, 응급상황 대처 능력에서는 정확하게 대처할 수 있는 부분이 높지는 않음을 나타냈다. 즉, 공항 내 최초 반응자로서 공항 내 근로자들은 점점 증가하는 공항시설 사용자를 위해 공항 내에서 발생하는 응급상황, 응급상황별 인식에 따른 대처능력에 대한 교육 시 환자사례 중심으로 다양한 상황에서의 교육이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공항 내에서 발생하는 환자유형 및 처치내용은 알 수 없었으나 공항 내 근무자 특성에 맞는 교육이 이루어져서 안전한 공항시설을 이용할 수 있는 후속연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

In the cabin, in case of an emergency, cabin crew must legally receive first aid training, and can respond to emergency situations, first aid and instructions according to the guide provided for medical situations. However, in an airport that is used by a large number of people in addition to passengers, such as facility users, meals, shopping, etc., any worker at the airport must respond to the situation in case of an emergency. Airport workers are responding to various patient situations with simple safety manuals written for each workplace (department), but not much training is provided. Airport workers are not given separate statutory training hours. As the first responders, it was attempted to understand the safety awareness and awareness of emergency situations and coping abilities of the workers at the airport where they can encounter patients for the first time at the scene. The questionnaire was modified and developed in consideration of the characteristics of workers' work in the airport, and consisted of safety and health education, emergency situation awareness, and emergency response ability, so that the responses of the subjects could be easily answered with 'yes' and 'no'. It showed that they were well aware of burn cases, internal medicine cases, and cardiac arrest cases, but did not accurately recognize them in respiratory emergency cases, trauma cases, environmental emergency cases, and other emergency cases.
