포스트 코로나 시대를 대비한 『한문』교과 변화의 필요성과 과제

국문 초록

본고는 코로나19로 인해 촉발되고 있는 뉴노멀 교육을 4차 산업혁명기 교육의 지향과 인재상과 연결하여 살펴보고, 『한문』교과가 지향해야 할 태도에 대해 논의하였다. 4차 산업혁명이 요구하는 교육은 근대 이후 형성된 교육과 다른 목표를 가지고 있다. 근대 이전의 교육이 소수의 엘리트 양성을 위한 교육, 혹은 자발적 수요에 의한 직업 교육이었다면, 근대기 형성된 교육은 “질 좋은 노동력” 혹은 “평균 이상의 지식을 습득하고 사회에서의 역할을 수행하기 위한 보통 능력과 생산과 소비를 동시에 수행할 수 있는 구성원을 양성”하는 목표를 지니고 있었다. 반면 4차 산업혁명이 요구하는 인간은 “자기주도적으로 현실의 다양한 문제를 인식하고 파악하며 해결하는 과정에 필요한 역량을 지녀, 개인의 역할을 통해 사회 전체의 변화를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 인간형”이다. 곧 우리 사회는 보통교육이면서도 학습자를 중심과 맞춤이라는 새로운 형식과 내용을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 대응하기 위해 『한문』교과가 지향할 미래 인재 교육의 방향에 대한 치열한 논쟁, 수요자 중심 맞춤형 교육으로의 전환, 『한문』교과의 과목 구성과 내용 구성에 있어 선택과 집중의 세 가지 관점에서 미래 『한문』교과의 변화 지향을 논하였다.

영문 초록

This paper is intended to examine the new normal education triggered by COVID-19 in connection with the direction and future skills of education during the 4th Industrial Revolution, and to discuss the form of HanMun(漢文) subject and textbooks. The education required by the 4th Industrial Revolution has a completely different goal from the education formed after modern times. If pre-modern education was education to foster a few elites, or vocational education based on ones demand, modern education had the goal of “cultivating quality labor” or “normal ability to acquire above-average knowledge and to perform production and consumption at the same time.” On the other hand, the human beings required by the 4th Industrial Revolution are “human beings who can lead to changes in society through individual roles with the capabilities necessary for self-directed recognition, identification, and resolution of various problems in reality.” HanMun(漢文) education is liberal arts education, and it refers to an act that seeks and inherits the educational values and ideals necessary for the society and becomes the driving force for future development along with the identity of society. And society has changed again and is demanding a new form of education, centered on and tailored to learners. To respond to these demands, this paper discussed future HanMun(漢文) subject research from three perspectives: fierce debate on the direction of future human resources education aimed at HanMun(漢文) subject, transition to consumer-centered customized education, and choice and concentration in the composition and content of HanMun(漢文) subject.
