국문 초록

본 연구는 학생들이 학교 밖에서 경험하는 미디어 문화와 학교 안에서 교육적으로경험하는 미디어 리터러시를 조사 분석하여 학교 미디어 리터러시 교육의 실현태를밝히고,앞으로의 교육 방향성에 관한 일정한 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과,학생들은 온라인 동영상 플랫폼,소셜미디어 등 디지털 미디어(Digital Media)에 관한 사용 빈도와 의존 경향이 강한 것으로 나타났다.학교 교육을 통해 미디어 리터러시 교육을 경험한다는 인식은 낮았으며,정보와 국어 교과를 중심으로 미디어 리터러시 교육을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다.미디어의 윤리적 사용 교육이 가장활발하였고,미디어를 활용한 자료생산과 미디어 정보의 신뢰성 판별 교육은 가장 미흡하였으나,미디어 정보의 신뢰성 판별에 대한 교육적 요구가 가장 강하게 나타났다.정보 찾기 역량에 관한 인식은 높은 반면,미디어를 활용한 자료 생산과 공유 역량은 낮게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 할 때,미디어 리터러시 교육의 체계화를 위해서는학생들의 미디어 문화를 반영한 교육,미디어 리터러시 교육 내용의 학교급별,교과별 위계화,학생들의 미디어 리터러시 역량에 관한 정확한 진단과 확인,미디어 리터러시 교육의 실천에 관한 성찰,국어교육을 비롯한 교과 간 통합적 미디어 리터러시교육과정 설계와 구체적 실현 방안 수립이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the media culture that students experience outside of school and the media literacy that they experience in school to reveal the realization of school media literacy education and to derive certain implications for future education directions. This Studies have shown that students tend to rely on digital media in their daily lives, using a lot of digital-based New Media such as online video platform and social media. There was a low perception of experiencing media literacy education through school education, and it was found that media literacy education was experienced mainly in information and Korean language curriculum.Ethical use education of media was the most active, and the education on the reliability of media information and data production using media were the least sufficient, but the educational demand for the reliability of media information was the strongest. Results Showed that the systematization of school media literacy education requires education reflecting students media culture, hierarchy by school level, accurate diagnosis and verification of media literacy capabilities, and integrated media literacy education.
