융복합 교양 수업과 그 시사점

국문 초록

이 글은 시장경제의 위험 요인을 분석하고 그 대안을 모색하기 위한 차원에서 개발된 교과목(<시장경제와 위험사회>)의 실제 운영 과정 및 그 성과를 살펴보기 위한 시도이다.이 교과목은 동국대학교에서 ‘미래 위험사회와 안전’이라는 대주제 아래 신설된 4개의 융복힙 교양 교과목 중 하나이다. 수업은 프로젝트 기반 학습(PBL) 유형에 따라 진행되었다.이를 위해,교수자는 학생들에게 수업을 통해 시장경제의 의미와 주요 위험요인에 관한 다양한 이론과 정보를 제공한 후,학생들 스스로 현실의 시장경제에서 나타나는 위험 요인이나 불안정성문제에 대해 조별 프로젝트의 주제로 선정하여 탐구·분석하도록 유도하였다.그리고나서 학생들이 조별 프로젝트의 결과물을 발표하고 토론하는 방식으로 수업이 진행되었다. 코로나 19 위기 때문에 수업이 비대면 방식으로 진행되었지만,수강생들을 상대로한 설문조사 결과 수업 만족도가 비교적 높게 나타났다.그렇지만 협력과 소통 능력을 개발하는데 도움이 되지 못했다는 답변이 26.1%에 이를 정도로 조별 프로젝트에대한 불만도 부분적으로 나타났다.아마도 여기에는 비대면 수업의 한계가 작용하겠지만,교수자에게도 협력과 소통이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 조금더 노력해야 한다는 과제를 부과하는 셈이다.

영문 초록

This article is an attempt to examine the actual class process and performance of ‘Market Economy and Risk Society’ that was developed to analyze the risk factors of the market economy and seek its alternatives. This course is one of four liberal arts courses which developed newly at Dongguk University under the main theme of “Risk Society and Security in the Furure”. Classes were conducted according to the type of project-based learning (PBL). To this end, the instructor provides students with various theories and information on the meaning of the market economy and major risk factors of it, and induced the students to explore and analyze the risk factors or non-security issues that appear in the real market economy as the subject of the group project. And then, the class was conducted in a way that students present and discuss the outcome of the group project. The class was conducted in un-tact manner due to the Covid 19 crisis, but the results of a survey of students showed relatively high satisfaction with the class. However, 26.1% of respondents said that they did not help to develop cooperation and communication skills. Perhaps this is partly due to the limitations of un-tact classes, but imposes the task of making a little more effort to facilitate cooperation and communication even for instructors.
