국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 학습자에게 한국어능력시험 Ⅰ(TOPIKⅠ)이 갖는 위상을 고려하여TOPIKⅠ의 읽기 텍스트 구조를 분석하여 읽기 텍스트 등급화 가능성을 살펴보는 것이다.이때 읽기 텍스트는Mann&Thompson(1988)의 수사 구조 이론을 바탕으로TOPIKⅠ의 읽기 텍스트 최근 5회차를 매회 5번 분석하였다.그 결과TOPIK Ⅰ의 의미 관계는 상세화,연결,조건,원인-결과,평가 등 단순히 나열하는 연결이나연속의 의미 관계보다 다양한 의미 관계들이 골고루 나타나는 특징을 보였다.도식구조는 모두 본문만 나타나는 불완전한 1단 구성이라는 특징을 보이며 최상위 층위의 의미 관계도 다양하지만,평가 의미 관계가 최상위 층위에 나타나는 것은 새로운발견이라고 할 수 있다.따라서TOPIKⅠ의 읽기 텍스트 구조를 분석하는 것은 한국어 교육 현장에 있는 교수자들에게 텍스트 구조의 특징과 등급화를 통해 한국어 학습자의 교육과 교재 개발의 기준이 될 것이다.또 학습자들에게 일관된 텍스트 교육을통해 학습 능력을 향상시켜 줄 것이라고 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study examined the possibility of reading text grading by analyzing the structure of the reading text in consideration of the status of the Test of Proficiency in Korean I (TOPIK I) for Korean language learners. The study analyzed the five sets of TOPIK I’s reading text five times based on the rhetorical structure theory by Mann and Thompson (1988). As a result, TOPIK I’s relational proposition showed characteristics of not only explanatory text, such as elaboration, joints, and conditions, but also of relational proposition more evenly than listed joints or sequences of the relational proposition. The schematic structure showed the features of an incomplete one-stage configuration only observed in the key paragraph in the context and a variety of the highest grade of the relational proposition, which is a new finding on the evaluation of the highest grade of the relational proposition. Thus, analyzing the reading text of TOPIK I is expected to serve as a standard for teaching Korean learners and developing textbooks through the characteristics and grading system of text structure for educators in the field of Korean language education.
