질적 지표에 근거한 보완·대체의사소통 관련 단일대상연구 문헌 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 장애학생의 국내 보완·대체의사소통체계를 활용하여 의사소통기능 향상을 도모한 중재 연구 중 단일대상연구를 대상으로 2001년부터 2012년까지의 학술지 논문 29편을 분석하였다. 장애학생의 의사소통기능 향상을 위한 보완·대체의사소통체계 중재연구를 질적 지표로 분석한 결과, 첫째, 연구설계 방법으로는 대상자간 중다간헐기초선 설계를 가장 많이 사용하고 있었고, 전자도구보다 비전자 도구의 사용이 많았다. 연구대상으로는 자폐성장애가 가장 많았고, 성별은 남학생이 많았다. 중재 회기는 21회기에서 최대 81회기, 중재 기간은 7주에서 약 6개월, 중재 시간은 10분에서 50분, 중재 장소는 대부분 교실에서 이루어졌다. 대상자 선별 시 사용한 검사 도구는 언어능력검사였다. 둘째, 고찰한 29편의 중재연구들은 연구대상자 기술, 독립변수, 종속변수, 기초선, 실험통제 및 내적타당도, 외적타당도, 사회적 타당도와 관련하여 Horner 등(2005)이 제시한 질적 지표를 대체적으로 충족하고 있었다. 장애학생의 의사소통기능 향상을 위한 국내 보완ㆍ대체의사소통 연구 고찰로 밝혀진 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 단일대상연구를 실시할 때 중재의 질적 확보 및 중점사항에 대한 논의를 심도 있게 다루었다.

영문 초록

Twenty-nine single subject studies from the year of 2001 to 2012 on the intervention of alternative and augmentative communication skills for students with disabilities were analyzed to identify quality indicators and evidence-based intervention criteria. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, multiple probe design across subjects were used the most in the single subject research design. Non-electronic communication tools were used more than electronic ones in those studies. Study subjects participated the most were students with autism and male students. The number of intervention sessions was from 21 up to 81. Intervention periods were about 7 weeks to 6 months and, intervention time was 10 minutes through 50 minutes. The studies took place usually in a classroom. Assessment tools of language ability were used to select study subjects. Secondly, 29 articles of the intervention research examined were generally satisfying the qualitative index that Horner, et al. (2005) suggested in relation with a description of research subjects, independent variables, dependent variables, a basic probe, experimental control, internal feasibility, external feasibility and social feasibility. Thus, intervention quality to secure and issues in single subject research design were discussed in depth based on the results of examining studies on the interventions with alternative and augmentative communication devices for improving communication skills of students with disabilities.
